I noticed some worried looking people when I went through Sydney Airport in 2014. It was my first flight since being fitted with a titanium collarbone, and the surprised look on my face startled a few people as I walked through the metal detectors without setting it off.

I got "randomly" selected that day.

No, Friday morning was 5 minutes through security & early Tuesday at Tullamarine almost straight through.
Unless your flying Jetstar & have a calculator & weight scale to work out your luggage, $15 a kilo over 15kg if you dont book extra baggage online.
It's also a half hour walk to the departure lounge, then they weigh your bags again. Jetstar also call boarding 25 minutes before departure so you can sit in their mini seats for 35 minutes before takeoff.

Jetstar is the absolute pits. Would rather pay the difference and go Virgin or Qantas. Had to unfortunately travel to Melbourne with Jetstar a month or so back and the departure gate was closer to Ballarat than Melbourne!
Crappy seats and crappy service. Even Tiger is a better option
