Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2017
Well when the opposition coach and players go into bat for the reported player fair to say there wasn't much in it and I doubt there was a punch thrown ! If there was I'm sure Salisbury wouldn't have fought for the ep player its pretty common sense if you ask me

Congratulations to Leigh Forrest yesterday NHFC Div 4 reserves for notching up his 100th goal of the season. First time in his career to do this I'm lead to believe, Wonder how many he could have if he kicked straight. Well done Forry !
The redder it grows the more he knows

Approx. 70 Points
I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

When was the last time Eastern Park lost a match at Dwight Reserve to any team South of Grand Junction Road?
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

That's the first time eastern park has lost a home game since 2015 when we went out in straight sets, but a team south off grand junction road would be far longer than that! Morphies played well, deserved the win.. looking forward to the hit out up there in a couple of weeks

If you had footage and compared it to people's recollections you'd be amazed at how wrong honest people often are. Confidence is often confused with reliability and so umpires who aren't nervous, have been there before come across as better witnesses.
The other problem is that it's very difficult to figure out who is telling the truth. I suspect the tribunal members are like some judges and believe that upon appointment they suddenly acquire some divine ability to discern the truth. In reality they often have no more ability in this area than the man on the street yet feel obliged to come to some conclusion rather than admit they do not know where the truth lies.

Maybe, one day when I'm retired, I'll write my memoirs or Procedures Manual, but I totally 100% support your posts to appoint a solicitor to advocate.
The league actually instituted a pro bono defence scheme, yet some clubs still refuse to use them.
Every tribunal has a judge or solicitor on it. It would be a brave man to accuse them of bias or stupidity.
The biggest mouth in your club is not your best advocate
How on earth did the league convince lawyers to give up their time pro bono? I can't think of anything worse than sitting in that waiting room for a couple of hours on a Wednesday night. As Zartan said, I told him he'd be better off getting someone the tribunal liked. The statement was true but part of the reason I told him is that I really can't be arsed going there.
PS I've accused plenty of judges and solicitors of being stupid, just not to their face (at least the judges anyway).

At a junior game on Friday night at Edwardstown and overheard their A Grade coach (whilst under the weather) telling everyone that he was suing people for defamation over the Kilburn racial vilification matter. You his lawyer Shrek[emoji15]

Well done to Gepps Cross on Saturday, bit too good in all grades.
Cheers also for the hospitality after the game, our club appreciated the jugs. Was a big day and well done also on the great promotion of breast cancer awareness. Good luck in the finals, well... maybe just your A's.

How the heck is Townies oval deemed safe with a concrete bike track 2m from the boundary?

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2017
Played a final there years ago and an opposition player went arse up on the concrete and was out for the rest of the game. He was pretty badly injured.
Heard a whisper that a bloke playing cricket there once got cleaned up going for a catch by a bloke on a bike going around the track.

Plenty of grounds have fences that close which can be just as dangerous. But Townies Oval is big enough for the boundaries to be brought in a bit I would have thought.

Who is the favourite for the div 4 flag?
i like north haven, but there young captain chris lipson needs help,
He is a lone soldier out there from the 2 games I have watched , dragged the boys
Over the line on a few occasions.
Has he played at a higher level?
I know his brother tom has played at port magpies as I played with him. But
I don't know how much longer chris will be messing around in the saafl.

I say North Haven providing they keep doing what they are doing. The ladder suggests they are in a whole nother echelon. And based on this hard to say the skipper has been dragging the rest of the team. Let the next 4 weeks tell us...
And that.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 4 - 2017
I reckon it's definitely North Haven's to lose. Clearly the best team all year. Morphy Park may challenge.
Should be a cracker at Kilburn on Saturday. We haven't lost there for a while but the games are usually close.
Morphy Park should account for Eastern Park. They play their ground really well.

And we won there last week.
If Havens get a big oval in the GF they'll be unbackable favourites.
