We've got one game left at Prospect (v Glenelg), the others are at Woodville (today) and Adelaide Oval (v Sturt).

1 neutral, 2 home (including centrals) and 1 away

our last 4 are travelling to alberton, lizbef, glenelg and norf at ao. Somehow I dont think your last 4 games are harder than ours.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Jimmy wrote:Would like to hear some ppls thoughts on Sturts run home to the finals. I think that each game is a big test and definitely could define whether we are a true contender or still a few years away from the big one. I think winning 75% of these games would be fantastic and get us 2nd spot but we could see us fall to 4th if we stuff it all up.

Huge test for the club in this last month or so.

Go blues!

having a quick look at your draw for the remaining 4 weeks and I think you will probably get 2 wins from that and that will ensure you of a top 3 spot unless my eagles win all 4 in which case we would be tied on points but you still may edge us out on %. Here is my verdict as to how I think the remaining 4 weeks will play out.

Central have games against South (w), Sturt (w), Norwood (w), Bye.

Sturt have games against Port (w), Central (l), Glenelg (w), North (l).

North have games against Eagles (l), Glenelg (w), West (w), Sturt (w).

Eagles have remaining games against North (w), West (w), South (w), Glenelg (w).

Glenelg have games against bye, North (l), Sturt (l), Eagles (l)

Port have games against Sturt (l), Norwood (w), bye, West (w).

With the current ladder looking like this:

POS TEAM PL W L D FOR AST PERC PTS
1 CD 17 15 2 0 1909 1172 61.96 30
2 ST 16 11 5 0 1560 1371 53.22 22
3 NA 16 10 5 1 1553 1335 53.77 21
4 EAG 16 9 7 0 1526 1458 51.14 18
5 GL 17 8 8 1 1695 1532 52.53 17
6 PA 17 6 10 1 1593 1553 50.64 13
7 NWD 16 6 10 0 1403 1625 46.33 12
8 SA 17 4 12 1 1336 1952 40.63 9
9 WA 16 3 13 0 1238 1815 40.55 6

With the results happening as I've mentioned above this would leave the top 5 as CD36, NA27, ST26, EAG26, GL17, PA17.

All in all it's still a tight contest for the top 3 as well as the final spot in the top 5. I'm expecting percentage to seperate both of these battles.

I don't think you are giving the Bays enough respect.

Cool, I forgot all about the Westies game, I was thinking there was only 3 weeks left in the minor round, 1 more week than I expected, yipee! :D

PS Port at Alberton are easy, away from Alberton they can be tricky though.

EHL, unless you are a genius at footy tipping, you are going to get a few of those games wrong. Let me ask you, if you get some wrong, what games are you not confident of being correct. I dare say, Glenelg will be a couple of them.
I'm not having a go at you, just , you are braver than me to tip them all to the end of the season with confidence. This season has been so even . Did you get 4 last weekend ? The Eagles are probably the form team right now, but would be the only ones Id be half way sure about.

Still , it's interesting to see what everyones scenario is, it's great that we are still unsure with only a few games to go.

BTW, I think ( back on topic ),it's probably better Sturt & North have the run home like they have than go into the finals with any false confidence ( read - cockiness ). If they are both good enough, they will do OK in the next 4 weeks & beyond.

Granted I'm no genius I just thought I would give it a decent crack and that's what I've come up with. I'm sure a long the way I'm likely to get a couple wrong that's tipping for you and that's why it's called tipping. There's unfortunatley no definitive way of predicting 100% because there's always going to be upsets.

All we need to do is win today then it will be like a ghost town, the tumble weeds will be rolling past and half the clowns on here will go away for a week..............easier said than done :(
