Won't spoil it for anyone by posting a score ....

But I heard on the radio that there was a serious injury suffered by Daniel Bell - last I heard he was lying in the rooms and it didn't sound good

Anyone got any more details?

Bell head over the footy, fumbled, Johnson lined him up and crunched him front on making full impact to the head. Bell was in serious trouble, left the field on the stretcher in a neck brace and was in the same condition in the rooms. Johnson will miss the rest of the season and should get 4-7.

Anyone opposed to the front on high contact rule should take a look at this and they will quickly change their mind!!

Yeah popped it out, i would suggest he will be out for the rest of the year too, bit of a shame for Holland because he was in very good form over the past month.

I only seen the second half, however I thought the Pies were very ordinary, up by 7 goals, the DEES only had 1 fit player on the bench, and they nearly get rolled

the commentators were saying the Pies are now safe, I am not so sure, they now have 12 wins, however both Adel and Freo have a healthier %.

so if Collingwood was to drop their next two against Sydney and Adelaide, they could definitely still miss, given a whole range of possible scenarios

next weeks game is huge for the Pies, drop that against Sydney and they could end up with a dog fight with Adelaide in the ast round for a finals spot

Brisbane's and Collingwood's positions are very much up for grabs

Collingwood have won twelve now so I wouldn't say their spot is up for grabs but they won't see the Semi Final week. The Demons had Bell, Holland and Davey out of action and Robbo and Bate were on one leg and they nearly coughed up a 41 point lead.

Jeff White though, should hang his head in shame. What a powderpuff, he totally failed to dominate against Richards and Bryan...even Cain Ackland would have cleaned up.

I havent seen the footage, yet if that is right that Johnson lined him up and hit him directly in the head then Johnson should be facing charges from the police. If someone assualts someone on the street and gets charged for it, then it should be no different on the football field.

In that injury, Bell could easily be paralysed for life, a tragedy if an accident on a football field, yet if it was from a deliberate hit that would be one of the lowest cowardly acts in AFL to date. The AFL have a duty of care to make sure that does not happen, and if that means having assualt charges laid, the sooner the better.

Bell was EXTERMELY lucky to get away with nothing severe. Johnson showed negligent conduct towards a fellow worker. It looked fairly premeditated and Johnson can forget about going to training ... as the ABC radio guys said last night, he won't suit up again this season. Too right!
