Went out for just my second hit in the past 6 months since moving east. Had a hit at Bundoora which is a public course. Standard layout really, not that long but fairly tight fairways. Greens a little slow. Best described as an up and back layout, but all things considered not in too bad condition for a public course that I assume is council maintained. Started off a bit rusty with a double bogey. 3 straight bogies for the next 3 or 4 holes before a couple of pars. Played the back 9 with a local who plays off 7. He explained a couple of holes on the back where position off the tee was important. Green Fees are $20 after 1.00pm. Managed all 18 in 4 hours the back 9 was slow after flying around the front. One birdie for the day, and a few froths to top it off.

Played my second round of the handicap collection yesterday and shot another 91, triple boogie on the first (lost ball half a yard off the fairway) and another on the 14th (OOB). Two double boggies, that both came from 3 putts from less than 6feet. Some of those down hill putts are like putting on glass...

Happy with the way I hit it, but 2 penalties and 37 putts just killed me...

Golf, how good is it...?

McCracken yesterday, perfect conditions, course in pretty good nick for this time of the year.
First, an 8. Scrub - should never happen on this hole.
Then proceeded to have 44 points, an 84 off the stick
Held 3 x 20+ foot putts, missed 2 x 5 footers
One of those days where a lot of what I tried pretty much came off.

Hit a bucket of balls at my local driving range. A mixed bag, started off cutting most of them, the ol' lazy slice. Mind you I was a little distracted at the start by the young Asian lady in the active wear in the bay next to me! Slowly come good and got a better ball flight and shape happening. Even gave a few the "twirl" by the end. Looking forward to a few games in the coming weeks.

Had a solid round yesterday, solidly bloody frustrating... started with a a Triple Bogey and finished with one as well...

In my final round to get my handicap back I shot a 90... So my three rounds have been 91, 91 and 90...

Have got my swing pretty much back but when I'm missing I'm missing left... I can live with that because it is better than the God awful slice that was the miss shot...

When they are hit well, they are hit real well, into the Par 5 11th hit Driver, 5 iron over the back...

Onto the Monthly Medal next week... Image

Gone from 18.1 into 17.4 after a handy 35pts and adjusted 91 shots at the majestic Mt Osmond

Some of the greens up there were slightly chopped up with pitch marks from all those with high ball flight....which certainly isnt me...i wish i could get it up
