Are Port Adelaide Soft Or Is Fev a Tool?

Postby haloman » Thu Aug 16, 2007 1:48 am

Just curious to know everyone's thoughts on this. Fevola basically labled Chad Cornes as soft in the advertiser today and also stated he thought many of Port's younger guy's were in the same boat. :?
Personally I HATE Cornes but I'm not sure about the soft label. Didn't see Port's game last week but after watching the Showdown a week prior I can kind of see where Fev is comming from. Not a real smart thing to do on Fevola's behalf though I wouldn't have thought. Some things are better left simply thought about but unsaid.

i heard Fevs comments on Footy Classified and they also showed the comments that Cornes mentioned in the after-match interview.

didnt think there was anything wrong with the comments from either party and as Fev said he was just trying to get inside his head and given what happened after the match i would say he succeeded.

Brendan Fevola said it, so it must be true

Fevola is the soft one. How can he call Chad soft because he was first to the ball and try to spin away to get open. What's he meant to do? Get to the ball first then go, HERE I AM FEV! COME KNOCK ME OUT!

Fevola is a dickhead.

As for our whole team being soft, we may not be the physically intimidating team, but we are far from soft. So we like to get out into the open space and run, and play attractive footy, and puts lots of goals on the board. All teams should be wanting to do that.

Fev just better remember one thing before he opens his gob. Port Adelaide are 3rd, Carlton are in the bottom 4.

I don't think Port are soft, they just have a large amount of young players will benefit from a couple of preseasons.

Yes, Fev is a tool.

Fevola and Graeme Smith from South Efrica have very similar traits.

Both of them are willing to tell you how good they are, even if you dont ask. Both also seem to give opponents little respect.

(If he called Nathan Lonie soft, another story.... )

Both Fev and Chad are both champion players who had a crack at each other during the game.
I dont know either of them personally but they both seem to love the limelight and have a certain public persona than often portrays them as right tools.

The whole incident has been blown out of all proportion by the overhyped AFL dramatists in the media.

To paraphrase Dennis Commetti "Its hard to fool Brendon Fevola because he can't pay attention long enough".

I think it was more of a "we're not discounting anyone at this stage", keeping their options open. Dont think it will happen.

Fev was talking about the bit of play when Cornes went for the ball and he went for Chads head so who is soft. He backed up his mouth yesterday with a blinder he rated - 13 in the Champion data ratings.Fev is a genuine wanker.
