Is 4 games a bit over the top for calling an umpire a cheat? I know SN are on a good behaviour bond but that seems a bit ridiculous

Brett Prior (Portland) - 3x games umpire abuse
Rob Abdulla (Smithfield ) - 3x games umpire abuse
Alex Richardson (Edwarstown) - 3x games umpire abuse
They all took the early plea though.. so i guess 4 games is pretty consistent.

Bit embarrassing for the family if true given their pleas on social and mainstream media to allow Callum back into the league.....

I suspect that may have been accompanied by a few other unkind adjectives and socially insensitive nouns.

Has a bit of form if its who Im thinking of. Jumped the fence when playing for Blackfriars first 18 and beat the piss out of a heckler. Has a bit of a short fuse its fair to say.

Hard to see Salisbury North surviving in A1 after this. I watched them last week and they were pretty solid, in fact, a little unlucky to lose in the end. Based on that form I would have been confident of them surviving in Div 1, but now they are 4 games adrift with 10 games to go. Must be hard for their A grade players to stick at it when someone in a lower grade results in them getting whacked.

Agreed. Would need to win maybe 7 of their last 10. They have been good in patches but don't seem to have the depth this year to win a sustained run of games.
Modbury, PNU and Uni would be breathing a sigh of relief.

They say that Div 1 is a bloody hard comp to play in. I'm looking forward to seeing first hand in 4 years time.

Pretty confident aren't ya Growler? I suppose if you keep forking out ca$h for ex AFL footballers you will build sustainable success won't ya?

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 1 - 2017
Oh HBF I would have thought we would be on the same page. 2 clubs on the way up. Having said that we are taking very different paths.
We are making the effort to have it happen autoniously. Building a powerful junior program, bringing in long term recruits with ties to the club, luring the odd ex AFL player to play for free with his mates. Not over confident just like to think we have put good people and programs in place to sustain some success moving forward. Not over confident just excited by what the club is doing.
Then there's the Mitchell Park path. Bottom out and play against other clubs C grades in the lowest division a club can play in.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 1 - 2017
Salisbury North still have two games against St Peters so that's 2 wins. I still think they will go close to staying in div 1. They will move back to second bottom this week. And the way they played against TTG they will pose a threat for all sides in the second half of the year.
But even if they get relegated. They are the side that's spent the longest time without relegation. By a fair way as well.
As for James Hay. He didn't call the umpire a cheat. SN were crucified.
A TTG player punched a SN player and James told the umpire
"If that was f***en us you would red carded us"
And the umpire took that as calling a cheat and red carded him.

So he swore at the ump and got red carded? Unfortunately he has only himself to blame.
