Both have given up home games to play Port in NT before

Melbourne has a contract to play in the NT until 2018 I think and Bulldogs have a 4 year deal to play games in Ballarat so I wouldn't think they will want to give up more games.
I'm thinking Carlton maybe, not doing very flash financially or attendance wise so perhaps they might

Correct, we would have to get 80k to a home game at the MCG to make the same return.

Bulldogs sold a game to Cairns last year for $450k and their President said it was more money than they made from all their home games at Etihad combined

Half a million to get 10,000 through the gate. Must be expensive seats!

Collingwood the front runner, you'd think, from a commercial partner perspective.

Exactly, looking at it though, let's say you get 10,000 people through the gates per game, if each spend $1400 there is your $43M, wow.

Chuck in airfares, some might stay a night or two or do some sightseeing and all of a sudden this little red car has shot a piston.
