I don't agree, I think he took his skirt off when he moved to Sydney and added another feather to his bow, thought his ruck work at Sydney was far more valuable than his lack of interest to play in the middle at Adelaide.

His ruck work is just about as good as anyone in the comp!

His ruckwork really came* on at Sydney, but his best football and best season were at Adelaide for sure (imho).

How much time left on his contract at Sydney?

His ruck work didnt get him his current contract, and wouldnt have had he done the same role at the crows. Do agree his best footy at the swans has been in the ruck though. Good Ruckman but a level below the best

It was that 2012 Prelim final game where he almost got us over the line signle handedly that he was contracted to the swans for.

Wouldn't go that far but he has improved his ruck work a lot

Think benny is a little off the mark there, we has going to the Swans before that game

Possibly.

In any event, Jenkins still fits out team structure much better than tippett would have, at a cheaper price

Tippett was always one of those players, who on their day would tear it apart. The problem with him though is between the ears as those days are few and far between.

For sure, and the pressure to perform brought out a more consistent player IMO.

A strong 203cm forward is always going to be a handful if he can take a grab.

His initial 4 year deal was for '13-'16. In '16 he hit KPI's that triggered a 2 year extension.

His current contract expires at the end of 2018, he'll be 31.

The best football of his career, IMO, was the middle to latter part of last year where he was one of, if not the in form ruckman in the competition. I don't recall a time at Adelaide where he stood out as he did in the middle of last year.

Agree

Freo will have plenty of cap space come year end and Crows don't pay overs, McGovern gone.

McGovern is in his 3rd year, if there's no trade made then he's not going anywhere.

He'd be mad to leave Adelaide for an extra $150-200k per year. Fremantle are miles off a premiership, if ever with the lack of culture they have and West Coast are there or thereabouts for the next few years while Adelaide are set for 3-5 years at the real pointy end. If he's clever he'll ride the next 3 years out with Adelaide, perhaps snag a flag or more ( please no ), turn 25 and head home then on a big deal to see him out.

Different story if he gets to the Eagles to play with his brother.

Three way deal McGovern - Darling - Neale :D

they wont trade Jack Darling- I would say they will put Matt Allen up for trade. Glenelg boy who hasn't really set the world on fire at the Eagles

Nothing worse than a Port fan basking in their own ignorance.

Speaking of basketballers turned footy players Hugh Greenwood named as an emergency for the Crows expected to play if Lynch doesn't get up.

The context was Jenkins said something stupid about Basketball on 5aa, not that I thought I could beat him in a 1v1. He's a 6ft something professional athlete in his prime, im ... not that.

I am actually a JJ fan, he's a smart footballer, so many people take this sort of shit waaaayy too seriously.

Relax Benny, it all looked like a bit of humour to me. You shouldn't worry the facebook crow protector team were at the ready to defend Jenkins as he is probably receiving counciling now after that attack.
