Makes sense. The South Australian History Festival is happening this month.

I'd think he's potentially a $500k+ p.a player, not right now, but as we know you have to pay overs to get someone out of a club.

Being that he's only a "rookie" in real terms and not a free agent it will be interesting to see what the offer is, draft pick / player wise. He'd be at least a 1st rounder and someone, or, a couple of high end picks.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

they make it sound like a done deal hehe.

why would any player sign now, surely they wait until the CBA is done

yeah you would think 500 would be the minimum he would get, probably more, key forwards dont grow on trees. But I think the crows would be happy to pay that.

Having said that, I think Lever is a bigger priority for us, given our backline is a little thinner than our forward line. But I reckon both will sign.

agree with both of you.
a balance article would at least suggest what each club would give up for him!

I don't see him as a key forward, he's a very, very capable third tall but I don't think he's a build your forward line around him type. Walker, Kennedy etc.

He's only 191cm, not a "key forward" as such.

True, but just doing some quick sums in my head, I reckon he would be the main forward in at least half a dozen other teams in the comp, and maybe GWS is the only side where he would also be a third forward (again just off the top of my head)

So even though we have an embarassment of riches up forward, I think the crows need to make sure they pay him what he's worth.

Just because he'd be the main forward in half a dozen teams it doesn't make him a true key forward. See Jack Gunston.

Rumours that Brodie Grundy wants to come home and play for the Crows.

Don't think he is needed with ROB in the wings. ROB (plus ??) for Grundy, not sure I would do that.

23 year old gun rucks dont grow on trees.

If Grundy was gettable I would be making the hard call on sauce and trading him out. Could still get a very decent pick or player for him. Grundy would be worth a first rounder you would think. Sauce a second rounder most likely.

First rounder and grundy for jacobs and a second rounder would be a good deal

Turnco.

How could you ditch Sauce just like that?

I'd be throwing a tall forward out there to see if there was any bites first.

Don't you mean Grundy and 2nd rounder for Jacobs and 1st rounder?
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!
