Extremely, I've found 3 other clubs scattered across the Grades who would have seemed to have forfeited very early this week?

What gives?

From reading the update (the newsletter sent to clubs every week), it's been said that they weren't giving individual warnings anymore so I guess this is the result.

Good on them too. If 95% of Clubs can manage to pay on time it's unreasonable to expect the League's resources (which is realistically the 95%s resources) to chase up the extreme minority.

Bet it doesn't happen again and some club Treasurers got some angry phone calls last night!

Calls Due – 30th April

Calls were posted 3 weeks ago via Email. Not too much to say other than remind all that there aren’t individual reminders anymore and that your Rules and Regulation on non-payment read:

6.11 No Member Club may participate in any competition of The League whilst any affiliation fees are in arrears.

That is not to say The League is not understanding of a reason a club may not be in a position to pay on time but the onus is on the club to advise The League before the due date to seek leave of payment, not after.
