nice range of food in the buffet.

plates were taken by staff very quickly once you had finished them.

Not too sure it was worth the price, but the Ent. Book Voucher helped.

I went there recently for a work function and it was terrible!
80% of the food was deep fried.

They had a lamb Rogan josh that was just fatty off cuts of lamb.

I wouldn't rush back even if work pays again.

The lamb was ok in the Rogan Josh, it just was bland and had no flavour....

You Geelong supporters are easy pleased though mate!

The Walkers Arms is way better IMO.

It is really annoying because we usually go there once a week for a cheap schnitty.

Probably going to go back to the Lighthouse now, for an extra $20 per bill.

Went to the Lighthouse the other day with friends. Schnitty was nice and juicy, and the assortment of craft beers available was sensational

Yeah never had a bad experience there. We only changed it as our default due to the low price at the Prince.

Or even once making such a big booking (allegedly, if you believe the client) you aren't ringing 2-3 days before hand to check and confirm numbers??

Went to the Berri Hotel last night for a meal after my missus and daughter hounded me as they wanted to try the new menu. Before I start, I must admit I have never been a big fan of their meals so I wasn't expecting anything special to be honest.

Tuesday night is their two for one night so value wise, it's pretty good. We got there at 7pm and sat out in the beer garden for a couple drinks before dinner with the missus while we waited for my daughter and her fella. Went to our table just before 7.30 and ordered not long after. Next minute, it's 9.20pm and no meals. I was ******* spewing. Daughter's bloke and I ordered schnitta's which doesn't take 2 hours to cook. Missus got the prosciuto wrapped chicken breast and daughter got confit pork belly. Meals ended up coming out at 9.30pm and my schnitta was burnt and the legend sauce I got with it had curdled. It had been sitting under one of those heat lamps for an hour I reckon and that had actually burnt the schnitta and once they realised, they must have moved it and when the meal came out, it was cold. My daughter's pork belly was absolutely covered in pig hair but she was that hungry, she still ate it.

Missus said her meal was ok and daughter's fella would eat the arse end out of a low flying duck so he thought his was ok.

To be fair, their menu looks quite good but I'm just thinking the meals may take a bit of time to prepare and cook and if that's the case, they are going to have a lot of problems if they are busy.

I can't see myself going back there again in a hell of a hurry.

I didn't have the best experience at The Victory.
I won't be back.
But I never went on their Facebook page and went on a rant about it.

This woman is completely out of her mind if she thinks her rant is justified.
Good on Doug for hitting back and sharing some of the facts that the woman left out. Eg booking for 2 but rolling in with a footy team....

I had a couple bites and took it home and gave it to the dog. Unfortunately, we don't have many options for late night takeaway in Berri. In fact, we have none.
