Worst AFL media person..

Given he was a junior at my ammo club (and played 1 or 2 games at seniors with him) I've always wanted to like Brian Lake - which as a footballer I did, oodles of ability - but as a media person I just can't handle him.

Na I played with him, he just had an alias .. Was funny watching this young kid playing in the magoo's at Gaza with a waterlogged ball that 41 other players couldn't catch, but not Brian, probably took a good dozen overhead marks. Resulted in one of our best results for the season, think we only lost by about 7 goals that day

He was one of the few Port players of that era I never warmed too.
I was more a Craig Bradley or Martin Leslie type fan.

I thought Martin Leslie was the raging bull.that guy had no fear of anything, a lot like Glen Archer.

He was the Raging Bull, great player, but was around in an era mid 80s) when the club had fairly limited success.

Darren Smith, for all his critics, was a more effective CHF.

As for Dwayne's commentary, Im not a huge fan, but tend to make some allowances given his Port background.

He does seem though to come across a bit Amercan style/over-the-top.

When I think of Boofhead I think of the 84 Grand Final. Got absolutely cleaned up that day. That game will forever be one of my favourite all time matches. Your current CEO was absolutely brilliant that day. My duffle coat was Greg Turbill. What a tough player he was.

84' GF was the only game I can remember him getting off the leash against us. Built like a brick shithouse, but Tommy Warhurst always took it up to him. Russell always struck me as one of those "built like Tarzan, play like Jane" types, albeit he had ability. Marty Leslie mentioned earlier had it so far over DR for toughness that neither of them should ever be mentioned in the same sentence.
