When my brother and I moved my two door fridge on a surface way less expensive than what you have there, we stuck an old rug underneath and slid it. You'd think a company that actually advertises furniture moving would have access to at least that, if not something more sophisticated.
I'll be interested to hear how this pans out.

They're not entitled to damage your house at any cost in the name of moving your stuff.

The Australian Consumer Law says that a supplier must meet the consumer guarantees of providing services with due care and skill. This means they must use an acceptable level of skill or technical knowledge when providing the services, and take all necessary care to avoid loss or damage when providing the services.

It might also be worth seeing if the damage is covered by your house and contents insurance, if you've got some cover.

Finally heard back from the removal company. Apparently there is no wheel or something under the fridge, so they had to move the fridge in any way they can, and the damage happened because of that. I told them it needed to be repaired. Asked if it was covered by their insurance. He laughed. Offered a refund on the cost of removals. I said that wasn't good enough, told him I'll seek legal advice and get back to him.

I'd be right pissed.

Putting on grown up pants, shoes and socks.

Not sure boardies and thongs would cut it in the office.

Adelaide roads come to a stand still when there is one problem with South road
Watch this arvos peak hour...add 45-50 minutes to your commutes people if you are taking this route and they have not fixed it before 4pm

There are 2 problems there now.
The tram overpass between Anzac and cross roads and now when you get over the cross roads overpass heading south it's down to 1 lane both ways due to road works.

Took me 30 mins to go 2km.

I went through the back streets on way home as I live in that area and it took just as long.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Don't know about that, things are running better than usual between Sir Donald Brahman Drive and Torrens Rd despite the road works! Traffics the best it's ever been in the inner western suburbs ATM! :D
Suits me as I was out and about a bit today.

My Galaxy S5 being on it's last legs and generally being a terrible phone by today's standards, so I ask work for a new phone. Yep, all good, they'll send one out...
