Of course not all those teams are D5-D6 standard, but you are implying they will be facing harder teams than they have been facing in the SFL which isn't the case.

But are you implying that they are facing easier teams than they have faced in the SFL???

I was implying that in 2017 they ill be playing clubs that have teams that are a lot lot harder than those up and over the Hill.

Face facts Dutchy, they are going to a competition that has a much tighter variance in the standard of competition across the division. Some games will be easier some games will be harder. Or another way of putting it there won't be at least four gimme wins in Div 4 for Murphs boys in 2017.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Marion osb hackham and aldinga wouldn't get near the top teams from div 5. Doubt they'd win a game

Exactly what I was saying AM

Just a generalisation Scott, I did watch the Div 6 GF in 2015 and all these teams would have not been out of place in it.

Marion, Lonsdale and Hackham I agree their poor, Aldinga were pretty good in 2016, they have improved a lot, only 2 x 100+ point blow outs. I'm sure most SAAFL div's still see a 100 point margin on occasions even with the relegation/ promotion system?

SFL is probably not what it used to be from 3-4 years ago but Flaggy last year were a very good side and would hold their own in Div 2 Amateurs in my opinion.

Not sure if it's been mentioned and I can't be bothered reading back but Smithfields climb up through the divs is as good as over.

4 or 5 of their top players have gone to greener pastures. They will hit the wall in 2017. I got told this at a pub on Saturday night so it must be true

Sorry Dixie Marshall but it has been mentioned before, a couple have moved interstate, a few have followed Thommo to the YPFL and one to Eastern Park.

It will be tough to cover their losses but I'm sure they'll be competetive, they had good depth last season so all is not lost.

Heard last night at the Strikers game that Havens have signed David Bird from Portland

Matty Stewart is definitely saying he is playing at EP but is strange considering them and Smithfield are in the same div.
