Agree with Browny. I use to think like you bombers4eva but the reality is clubs pay now. I only know of one club that doesn't pay in Div6 and happy to be corrected if there is more. Just the way it is.

I understand about the reality of it and I'm not going to argue on the pros and cons. Just saying that from what I have heard about this Steele bloke is obvious that he can play. And if he's been offered that much then he is probably very good. So go try playing at a higher level or in the Barossa league or in the Hills league where you can get paid the same amount and play at a higher standard. He's playing below his standard.

Who gives a toss what standard he's at? There's nothing wrong with playing in the lower grades to have a kick with your mates and enjoy your footy. He gets compensated well for doing it, can't really blame the bloke.

Sometimes people like getting the same money for effectively easier work in which they can be better at it in relation to their peers, and not have to overly challenge themselves physically, or time wise.. Im sure PLENTY of people out there would do the same and they would be lying if they told you otherwise

I'm just stating that $400 a game for Div 6 is insane. And from what I read and see of the bloke. He can play. And if he WANTS to play with his mates as they say he does. He would of done it for free. Not the added incentive of $400 a game.

I'm only responding to a previous post when they mentioned he wasn't leaving and was offered $400 a game. That was where I based my statement from. From $0 to $400. That is fricken huge. BL must have a bit of extra coin to spare once all the rest left.
