Re: Great Southern Football League
field of dreams.
Another high profile high $$ playing coach, is that 5 so far. Salary cap working in keeping club costs down? Heard on the grape vine a favorite son going back to the creek, that might ruffle e few old feathers.

I've heard that there could be an Ex Creek players with him, possibly from Norwood also. Talk is there could be others from past years also.

Couple of handy ex players to have back.
Looking for a coach still after Lally was re appointed but has since resigned for personal reasons that prevented him from having the time required to fully commit to the job.
Importantly is still going to play tho and without the burden of coaching, one could expect to see him improve further after a very solid return last season following a year off recovering from a knee opp.
As for the previous rumors about Warren returning to coach this year, i think i have a better chance of getting the First 4 on the Melbourne Cup than that happening.

Re: Great Southern Football League
I have heard from a few different ppl from various clubs that the "mighty hawks" might have done some dodgy dealings last year in securing the services of a certain player??

Re: Great Southern Football League
was going to other club as the marqey player but the creek really wanted him and were rumered to be doing a bit more than they should as he wasn't there marquee player. They are the details I was told ,rightly or wrongly I was just putting it out to see if anyone else had herd these rumours...

Cheers.
Sounds a bit far fetched as I know The Creek pretty well but hey that's what keeps these sites alive in the off season.

Was looking at going to Myponga but ended up at the Creek. The reasoning i was told was perfectly logical without any hint of dodginess but who knows? If there were some seedy dealings going on, no ones gonna advertise it are they? As with 90% of rumors, probably just another fairytale?
End result was he had a great year for the Creek in an average team and he'll appreciate having more quality support around him next season.
Predicting the Hawks will return to finals action next season tho i guess ALL 10 clubs have that expectation.

Re: Great Southern Football League
LCFC announce a new signing.
Levi Konitzka is back at the Creek after a stint in Portland. Good hard at it ruckman with skill. Creek building a good squad to challenge in 2017

Finally got a coach as well which helps i guess?
Clint Godwin - Premiership player for the Creek back in 2001 / 02
Creek are on the right track having got a few players back but will need a few more along with improvement from their younger players to be a finals contender again.
