South Africa copping a bit of stick early with the South Australian leftovers racing to 0/57 off 8 overs

Philander taken for 3 successive 4s from Raphael and also his batting partner John Dalton taking 7 for himself earlier in the over!

Test squad David Warner, Shaun Marsh, Usman Khawaja, Steven Smith (capt), Adam Voges, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Nevill (wk), Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle, Joe Mennie, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon,

"Joe bowls a great length at a lively pace and his form in first-class cricket has been terrific in the last 12 months," Marsh said. "He also impressed us during the recent Australia A Series in Queensland.

"He was the highest wicket-taker in the Sheffield Shield last season and is very handy with the bat."

Shaun Marsh was said to have edged his way past Burns by dint of hundreds in his past two Test matches, most recently the third Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo, and also a strong record in both Perth and Hobart.

"Both Shaun and Joe played very well in the Sheffield Shield round," Rod Marsh said, "but Shaun is coming off back-to-back hundreds in Test matches and has performed very well in Perth and Hobart so we have opted to go with him."

Ok so pick a bloke that has had a few injury issues over the competition leading wicket taker......that sort of thinking is usually afforded to the Marsh brothers....

Chadd has bowled far better in this Perth game, coincidentally where the First Test us played.

Chadd should've played in the dead rubber against NZ, that 12th man spot really is a game of musical chairs.

Seemingly to the optimist, I think he's just given a token trip to Perth.

Might as well save Cricket Australia the flight and stay there after the Shield Game!

South Australia are just 140 runs behind with about 25 overs left in the day.

Ludeman smacking them all over the place with 158*

Winter 51*

Raphael 91

Good pressure on the first team perform.
