No, He puts his big boy pants back on and plays out his contract at Carlton and Crows use their pick 13.
BTW, looking forward to every game report from The Advertiser that Adelaide lose in 2017 with a paragraph on how Gibbs and/or Lyons would have helped them get the win...

Wow, so we get marchbank, pickett, palmer, keep Gibbs and keep pick 5. That worked out better than I expected.

Adelaide go in wanting to strengthen their midfield, acknowledging it needed work.
Out - Lyons
In - Arbitrary pick.
Well played.

Unfortunate but as I said don't get bent over sideways over the next 2 years to get him. Can understand stances from all parties involved not meant to be.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Richmond....
Out - Deledio
In - GWS 1st and 3rd rounders.
Next year .
So they've given up Deledio for no return right now.

GIBBS STAYS AT CARLTON Nigel Carmody spoke about Bryce Gibbs after the trade to Adelaide failed to go ahead. "He'll pull on the Carlton jumper next year and hopefully continue on what has been a great career. Was there any leeway made today? "There was but still not enough. He's disappointed." "He was really honest with the club. We also think the deal that Adelaide put forward was more than fair and reasonable, particularly in comparison to what some of the deals in the trade period have looked like. "To not get to his destination in the end is disappointing, but we move on. "He's a proud player, they're a proud club and he's got to be professional about it and move forward."

Rhys Palmer from GWS to Carlton for pick 135. Obviously valued him.

Lyons played 20 games in 2016 and finished 18th in the Crows B&F - sums up how much the crows rated him.

Carlton has traded for GWS pair Caleb Marchbank and Jarrod Pickett and as well as a second round pick in 2017. They give the Giants picks 45 and 58, both third-rounders, and a first round pick in 2017.

As opposed to increasing your chances of a Premiership over the next couple of years? Adelaide's time is now - not in a few years.

Don;t the Crows understand you need to meet the market in this situation?

The Suns have sent picks 35 (R2) and 71 (R4) to Freo for pick 73 (R4) and a second round pick next year. ____________________________________ Gold Coast now with 4 second round picks in 2017.
