Sydney were second for tackles per game.
Sydney play a high pressure game at the ball and body, Port don't except when the Showdown comes around.
Crap. Port were soft in both showdowns this year.

The only difference that night was quality of ball movement. Adelaide were just that little bit cleaner.
I was at that game, Ports ball skills were deplorable, a decent side would've beaten us by 15 goals - there was some competitiveness, but no more than most of our season IMO.

Gibbs and 2017 2nd round selection in exchange for Crows pick 13 this year and 2017 1st round selection.
Think this is overs big time
Christ thats a fair bun. So 13 and possibly around 14+ (assume crows make top 4) for possibly Gibbs and a in likely hood a mid round 2nd.
If Crows finish top 4 and Carlton finish bottom 4 which is a strong possibility it could end up being pick 15-18 for pick 19-22 so not a big gap. He probably is worth it but he won't be the difference between the Crows winning the flag or not

Lol. Hit submit on almost the exact same comment but you beat me to the punch.

Adelaide's window is well and truly open, I think he will make a big difference to their line up, I've always been a fan of Scott Thompson's but his discipline resembles that of a spoilt 15 year old when he gives away a free, his body language is crap and often concedes a 50 even when the free was there in the first place. Gibbs will play the same role and hopefully see Thompson smarten up with the added pressure for spots, another quality tall defender and the Crows will be red hot, they exceeded my expectations last season and didn't harbour too many passengers.

It's all about points these days with draft picks and that arrangement is better than us giving up 13 + a 2nd rounder. Might only drop say 5 spots if we have a decent year and Carlton finish bottom 4. Crows most likely will take Jackson Edwards with our first selection anyway next year (not 100% sure how the father/son bidding works) so may not need a top 15 pick to do that.

Gibbs is an outside footballer with a shit haircut. Thommo is an contested ball winner who gets the hardball. Crows got smashed at the contested ball against the Swans. Gibbs wont solve their problem there. Bit of an insult to Thommo saying Gibbs could play the role Thommo has done for 10+ years of AFL footy
