Rucci in fine form with his articles re the Carlton v Adelaide negotiations. If I didn't know any better, I would think he is a Blues fan!

We'll welcome back Ryder, Monfries, Hombsch and Jonas into the group. Well publicized Ryder and Monfries missed the year, Hombsch and Jonas played 10 games each. So ruckman, full back and mid/tall forward and back into the mix.

Trengove back into his rightful spot at CHB, Westhoff and Dixon less time out of the F50 rucking/helping Trengove. So our structure will return two key defenders into the mix, lead ruckman and keep two key forwards home more.

We've traded in for the last three years ( Polec, Ryder and Dixon ) so it's time to head back to the draft for the next group to come through.

A handful of promising kids got a look at some decent game time in 2016, Byrne-Jones come in and held his spot, Palmer looked capable in his handful of games, Bonner and Snelling were both really good on debut and all 4 get another summer under their belt. Dougal Howard with the ACL will be back mid year and I expect 3-5kgs heavier from the gym work.

Most important is the preseason. We got it wrong last year, we were slow to start and didn't get going until after the mid year break when it was too late.

I have confidence in this group, when the best 22-25 are available, I also think there's several blokes like Amon, Impey, Clurey and Young who can go from regulars to regular contributors.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Has he requested a trade? Or is it just rumours? Is contracted for 1 more IIRC...

Hamling is an interesting one, he is uncontracted. IF they were to both go it would stretch our tall defensive stocks even further...

Definitely requested a move home but Dogs say it's unlikely they will be able to get it done and Adams is prepared to stay if a deal isn't done

I'm hearing Gus hasn't been offered a contract yet and that Port want to put him on the rookie list

Would love for Sydney to throw another hand grenade into a trade period. Makes things interesting :)

You hope. I don't think it will happen either FWIW

Didn't look too happy at the end of the season but after Mitchell leaving the Hawks...who knows.

One of the few players I would be happy to cross to the Crows from Port

Port do need good draft picks to get some good kids into their system but as I said it won't happen
