Absolutely no chance we will give two first rounders for him. Scrap the deal and move on. Port can't fit him in the cap and have already said they don't want him,
Crows are being too stubborn. They should offer up pick 13 and next years first for Carlton's second round next year. Carlton are near certainties to finish bottom 4 next year and Crows should finish top 4 so in effect you are giving up pick 13 + pick 14-18 for Gibbs and pick 19-23

Maybe it will happen in the end maybe not. But I would suggest at least trying to get them in the same room as Adelaide may be a start.
Also depends what the GWS want for there boys looking to get to Carlton.
Heaven and earth. Seriously they will be up the top for many many years with the first round draft picks they keep obtaining. Not having a dig....good on them! Thats good list management in my eyes.

We need a player though Jim thats the sticking point.

That's where GWS come into it. Pickett or Marchbank will be a part of the deal IMO. Would you be happy with a first round pick + Marchbank for Gibbs? Deal could look something like this maybe?
Something smells with the Mitchell deal, Ok he wants to shore up a role post his playing days, but surely he walks into a Assistant coaching role at any club when he retires from playing with his smart footy brain and Hawthorn intel?

His finals form is much more the standard of his output in game sthat matter. Carlton would jump at that, probably can save pick 13 for Rocky then
Josh did his ankle quite badly late in the season and wasn't the same player after that during the finals Kicked 8 against premiers in WB during the year so not bad against a minnow coming from a supporter whos club just signed Ty Vickery and trying to off load their BnF winner and runner up!
Reckon we know a thing or two about trading Oh and we've also achieved more in 3 years than your club has for its entire existence

Was he going into the final year of a contract? Walked out the door to another club before being pushed? Or did Mitchell approach Hawthorn with I've been offered a coaching gig after I'm done playing how about I go now and play for them now?

Really? Hows your trading going? Knifing other clubs, letting the cat out the bag before the player can tell the club, very professional!! Thats the way to get deals done
Tom Mitchell for Jed Anderson is pure genius
I wonder with moving on Sammy if we now have enough cash to walk O'Meara to the pre season draft and price him out of everyone elses range? Or at least threaten to

Depends on what you believe. I have heard Carlton approached Adelaide about him coming to the Crows before the Crows even approached him. Which is correct? who knows. Either way It's trade period...ffs. Grow some balls and stop whining SOS. the whole "I'm not talking to them" approach is primary school shit.

Yeah dunno, something more to it than we are being told I suspect.
