Will they have the balls to stand erect and state their case?

Maybe, but if you make them come they'll all go soft. You gotta meet them standing at the bar, better keep your wits about you though, the SS Nimitz is at dock and the bar is full of seamen. Rub them the wrong way and the seamen might give you a spray, they're very sensitive with the U.S election on. My advice is handle the members gently and the seamen in the bar will not give you a spray.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

You are all within a whisker of guessing who is being interviewed today.

Hart isn't being interviewed. There are 3 candidates. Just finished the second interview, last one being interviewed now. He looks fine.

Is that an aesthetic appraisal?

I took 'whiskers' to mean facial hair, and on that basis concluded that it must've been Max Gawn or Jimmy Bartel who were in the running.

He would have wanted to dropped his price substantially. He was asking for $$ that was out of reach for SANFL clubs originally

Sounds like he should've changed his nickname to "Purina" or "Sheba".
