I retract my Lyons comment, Carlton will want a player.

They'll be chasing a tall, probably tall defender.

Henderson (?) and a first round pick....? Not sure if that would get it done or not.

What we need is depth, as we saw last year where we offloaded two picks for four players. If we can pick up a player and a pick, that would be the ideal scenario.

I'm not sure what Port has to offer - obviously a higher draft pick, but no obvious Victorian boys that might want to return home any time soon. Maybe Wines but I can't see Port giving him up!

Henderson can go for nothing though as an UFA

Ok, didn't realise he was of that vintage! Maybe push for Hartigan then. I reckon he was your most improved backman by a street this season just gone.

Brett Deledio has expressed interest in joining the Cats, and Richmond have confirmed they are open to discussion.

Would pick 13 alone or our second rounder plus lyons or CEY be enough?

Lyons, 1st rounder and a future second rounder as booney suggested seems big overs

Pick 13 and Lyons should be enough

Yep, looked a likely customer and Lever took his spot, Cheney and Hartigan too.

Is Lyons rated that highly?

Be fair, he laid a tackle in 2012.

Doesn't really matter what should get the job done. Its what Carlton are asking for. Kelly might get it done, but any thoughts on Harry Deer?

I was of a similar belief so looked at his 2016 statistics, averaged 5.2 tackles a game. Only 3 Crows players averaged more this season.

Does Buckley really think he is in the Premiership window?

Crows couldn't make the hard call on Thompson, and he will spend he last year fading away in the SANFL, esp with Gibbs on board.

He can't, surely. He has said on record it's finals in '17 or he walks, but a 3 year deal to Wells is list management not Buckley.

Hey, Buckley didn't even know Allen was replacing Balme as football boss!!!

Gibbs is hardly an outside player.

We need good ball users through the midfield, as none of our current centre square mids (maybe bar sloane) can kick

Gibbs and more midfield time for aktins should change that hopefully

He was told he isnt guaranteed a game at all. Will be a similar scenario to the year jpod had imo. Will play SANFL most of the year and might play a game or two here and there, especially if either matt crouch or sloane go down

You can't tell me Buckley doesn't rubber stamp the deal, its his head on the block at the end of the day....wil Balme leaving you have to wonder if the wheels will fall off very quickly next year.
