One bad game in 17,tough critics.

Chad deserves all the critisism that he gets, carries on like a pork chop when port wins...ie jumping up on the fence and abusing the fans and sooking when he loses. Give me Kane anyday, at least he doesnt love himself.

Booney

Being a wanker does not automatically qualify you as a personality

Chad was seen time after time pointing towards the scoreboard, where is the personality in this, where is the personality in not shaking hands with the opposition

He carries on like a spoilt kid that has always had it his own way and show little respect for others

I think Chad is a great player and I think he plays with a lot of passion. I didn't see the pointing to the scoreboard stuff last night but I remember him giving it to the Crows supporters after the upset win late last season and thought it was OTT.

Still, I don't mind a bit of spirit like that - as long as he can take it - maybe he just needs to tone it down a bit. I am starting to come to the conclusion that Port went into last night's match very/over confidently - I heard Chad on the radio during the week and you could tell he was feeling pretty happy with life and itching to give it to us after the 'just turn up' (my quote) win.

Well, they learned what happens when you get ahead of yourself if that's the case. Ditto Crows in the second showdown last season.

Some of the comments about Chad in this thread are a bit OTT in my opinion.

You can add "over-celebrator of goals when the game is already lost" to that assessment (refer game v Hawthorn in Round 10).

His intentions are probably more about firing up his team rather than being a w@nker. But there's a time and a place and excessive confidence can easily turn in to, or be perceived as, arrogance.

The Coach prob likes having someone like that out there tho TBH. I remember Chard firing up the troops after Kane got concussed in that Pickett tackle late in the Melbourne match earlier in the year.

I thinks that's a bit outrageous. I understand people think he's a wanker, but he's definately not overrated.

I think he is overrated as already mentioned when he can't top up his stats with uncontested possessions he just like any average footballer struggling to get a kick

Because he hasn't had an opponent.

So you're telling me the opposition coaches would let someone like Chad Cornes run around and not put someone on him? Even when he is playing as a defender, he is too damaging to have running around by himself. When he plays in the midfield and it turns into Cornes by himself and his opponent by himself, Chad is always more damaging.

He would walk into ANY teams starting 18 any day, any year.

I tend to agree, but that doesn't mean he isn't a bit of a pain in terms of his dramatics!

I watch for the football not the Dramatics why don't you go to the theatre instead. He is not a Brownlow favourite for nothing.

I watch for the football too and he is a good footballer - that's why I want him to cut out the dramatics that belong in the theatre not on the footy field.

I agreed with pafc that he was a good footballer and would make most teams - I've highlighted that bit to make it easier for you.

He just needs to stop being such a w@nker and cut out the dramatics and concentrate on being a good footballer - then he'll be a really good footballer!

With respect, hes gone past the "really good" footballer stage, he's up there with the best 5 players in the league, despite what some people may say.
