Especially considering that the reporting umpire stated that it was a minor offence and wasn't worth reporting but the rule's state he had too

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Scuba, are you implying that Mallala may have contributed to the hip pockets of the MRP in some way to get this player off ????? Galic's charge with his record also got dismissed ????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Popper Smurf, you are comparing chalk and cheese.

Basically the postman done enough with his argument to put enough doubt into the umpires testimony?

Massive turnaround by Virginia. Two Wells was up by 26 points just after half time.

Bit of rain around today and tomorrow. Wonder if this will affect the surface for Saturday?

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
My tips for the big dance.
A - Mallala vs Virginia - A lot of pressure on Mallala I reckon, it's their flag to lose. They wouldn't want to join the 3 in a row club like Virginia back in 10,11,12 seasons. Should get the job done.
B - Virginia vs Hummocks - Because nobody likes seeing Virginia win anything.
SC - Mallala vs Angle Vale - Don't know anything about either team but i'll roll with AV just because they finished top
JC - Two Wells vs Balaclava - Just because I'm biased.

Good to see Hummocks in the B Grade GF, it wasn't that long ago when they were getting whooped week in, week out.

They have come good at the right end that's for sure, gave us a touch up in the first final then continued that on beating Mallala, love to see them go all the way, I wont feel so bad then
Goodluck to all the teams playing tomorrow

It also wasn't that long ago when they took the piss against everyone over a 10 year period either

Swings and roundabouts, they've been the whipping boys since my involvement in the APFL, that's all I can judge on.
I can't find any B Grade records but it's interesting to see the A Grade premiership list since 2000.
Hummocks 5
Mallala 4
Balaklava 2
Hamley 2
Two Wells 1
United 1
Virginia 1
It comes as some surprise that Virginia's first APFL premiership was last season given their win/loss ratio in recent years.

I reckon hummocks won a B grade flag against Two Wells one year. Not sure what they've won since then. Ace would know. Looks like there's a few in their B grade atm that was part of their successfully A grade period.
I've still got some GF barrackers from when I played in senior colts grand finals and it was the same period Hummocks were playing in the A grade. Some of their teams back then were outstanding. Probably some of the best the Plains have seen. Most of the squad were their locals as well

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Who's going to miss for Mallala tomorrow? Earl, Algar and Harris all come in to GF side, with Clarke and Sparks out. Dan Griff probably.
Virginia named 23, would think Bannear and Christian Marrone come out of that side too to remain unchanged from prelim.

We won 2000 (maybe against Two Wells?, cant actually remember, and I played in it!) and 2001 against Virginia.
