Congratulations Zedman on the coaching re-appoitment for the next 2 years.

Hope you can finish off the year with the big prize. Will try to watch a game of yours soon now that I am longer involved with the old club.

I would assume that if your selected in a particular grade the week before you were due to play Rosewater you would then have the Rosewater game count towards the previous grade selected in or does the club need to resubmit a team for each grade against Rosewater?

we have been told that we are to submit a team sheet & players will be credited a game as if it had been played.

That would stink if it were your milestone game!

Only in terms of finals qualification it would count surely. Not individual games tally.

In what regard?

Next year will be 2017 (MMXVII), it will be a common year starting on Sunday (dominical letter A) of the Gregorian calendar, the 2017th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 17th year of the 3rd millennium, the 17th year of the 21st century, and the 8th year of the 2010s decade.

I'm just stating the team sheets that must be submitted to the league would surely just count for finals qualification purposes only. Counting them as game 297, 298, 299 & 300 for personal tallies is just dumb and is how inaccuracies creep into historical records.

Flick the page over Heater, you know something bigger than counting games.

I have heard that also. Pulteney tried that about 5 years to merge with Glenunga but it got quashed. I have heard that another SAAFL club is being rumoured to have merger talks.

seems to crop up every time Pulteney are being relegated.

Seeing as everyone wants me to make an announcement I can announce that I have nothing further to add to this rumour. I have not been involved with the Pulteney Football Club since the end of 2009. I caught up with a former President and the current President at the beginning of the season for a few drinks and have crossed paths with a couple of current players at various times this season, nothing has been mentioned

Is a merger a good thing or a bad thing for these clubs? Who wins out?

Pulteney have players, some sponsors and access to old scholars.. but that's about it.
Glenunga have the ground/club, bit of money, mid table side that lacks a bit of depth.

Glenunga Rams v Pulteney Blues.. At least their colours are the same.. what would you call them? Would they go like PHOS Camden and be POS Glenunga? Would they come up with a different name? :-?

very strange timing before the season even ends..has to be slightly disruptive to the rams as they push for finals?
