Goldy, rest him and get him right and peachy and let Daw ruck for a bit.
When I looked at the spine and the core group, not many have missed many games if any. There's no doubt as noted above Higgins and Wells have been sorely missed.
Wells will be 32 when '17 kicks off, Higgins will be 29 end of March. List is old.
I reckon the Roos best game in the last 7 weeks was against Hawthorn. Who can tell me what was different about their side that night? Two absolute plodders from the midfield didnt play and Daw did but Scott is too stupid to realise this, he's a bit similar to Hinkley, he only stumbles upon solutions to problems by necessity at least Hinkley recognizes it and sticks with it

Excellent post REB, those stats are pretty useless Benny, it doesn't reflect the impact on the balance of the team that has suffered the injuries, it simply ranks them as individuals.
Anyway Im happy to judge the team at years end, not now when they could still finish top 4!
North have ballsed up their handling of Goldstein big time IMHO. He clearly can't manage whatever he's carrying and since he's not worth a cracker, why bother? Daw would give more, surely, which would enable Goldstein to return at full fitness. If they'd done that a month ago when it seemed pretty obvious that was the best option, he might have already been back to form and instead of talking about North possibly missing finals, we might be talking about them chasing top 4.
Read the little piece in the Herald Sun from Harvey's book, just confirms what i always thought of him, its all about him, no wonder the club hasnt tasted success since hes been one of the experienced players at the club and also confirms why he was never considered to be captain. Would be quite apt if they lost this week to the Saints and then the Saints go on to take their place in the 8, Im sure deep down it wont bother Brent as long he gets paid, the book sells and he has the record

The Wood signing has a bit of Aaron Black about it, whats he done since he was signed for 4 years on the back of a couple good games? The 1st clue of his true ability should be in the quality of the clubs that were interested in him, Freo and Brisbane, pretty sure the same clubs were after Black too.

Cool story Bro. Wood has Black covered easily.

You reckon, why did they give Black a 4 year deal then? You dont think he was displaying similar potential to get that deal? 4 years for someone who has achieved nothing is ridiculous

From the limited footage I have seen, Wood is a gun. Well worth signing up.
Well worth the punt on a 4 year deal, with Waite and Petrie leaving the forward line soon it was a critical signing. He will be the perfect foil for Benny Brown who will be the key target.

Said it plenty of times now, 4 year deals, the new normal.
