Which means he can have no official involvement or hold any position in any football club Australia wide
The last bit I get, no problem, but 20 years? You get less for manslaugter. Not saying it's right or wrong but a life ban would have sounded so much better.
I note that no points were stripped off Rosewater, meaning I assume that they can apply to rejoin & come straight back into D5. With the proposal that only the D5 Premier gets promoted this year due to the "horrible" likely decision to allow Brighton & Morphettville Park to queue jump other loyal Clubs, this could have represented a way to both further sanction Rosewater & reward both D5 GF combatants.
The player had been sent off - why? Presumably he then disagreed with the decision. Verbal abuse too? Did the incident occur on the field or over near the interchange race?
Is he a highly regarded umpire or is there a history between him and the player/club?
Whilst I get your point, No answer to any of the above questions should condone the outcome of what happened to the umpire. Unfortunately
I wasn't making a point?
Just interested in how it all went down.
Edit - sorry, just saw we still aren't meant to be discussing specifics so will leave it be. Apologies mods
This is Tony Clifton! A name to respect! A name to fear!

Surely they can't come back via Div 5.
Salisbury west didn't.
Great example to set for other clubs if your captain hits an umpire.
Just simply sit the seasin out and rejoin Scott free The next season

Last year's "loyal" Div 5 Premier couldn't even field a team this year!!!

Dropping a current div 5 finals contender or they were b4 today.... dropping them to div 6 next year will only hurt the other div 6 clubs around them and rosies in div 6 now would only reap the easier level bringing them a higher chance of a flag in 2017 for them
It happened when Smithfield were shut out for the season, the following year they were far too good for anyone in div 7 and it was pointless for anyone else. Their misconduct on the flip side brought a piss easy premiership just 12 months later

Might want to check your facts on this one. Smithfield were div7 for 2 years before the season your talking about.

Yes u are right but in their season of misconduct they were well on there way to likely meeting ingle farm in the div 7 grand final before they were removed from the comp in round 17
So rather them heading up to div 6 with the farmers they infact stayed in div 7 and flogged everyone the following season with an undefeated premiership. It was a nice experience for everybody including them
