Pop into Haighs and purchase some dark chocolate covered coffee beans. Eat the whole bag at once. Those things are the legal equivalent of amphetamine.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
The wild weather & power outages continue up here in the Hills.
Our office in Woodside was without power all day yesterday. Apparently the power was restored at around 10.00pm last night, but went off again around 4.00am today.
As I lost pretty well all of yesterday I went over early to get a cracking start (6.30am) to the day. Still no power, so back home I came...... It's a really busy time for me, and without access to all my work files I really can't do much.
So here I am back at home on the laptop on the kitchen table trying to make do.
Sh1ts.... yep absolutely!

Yep, has been pretty wild in the hills. You're right- power came back on in Woodside late last night but was out again this morning, and according to the SAPN website wont be back on til 7ish tonight, but not holding my breath on that.
Was quite eerie/different driving around Woodside and the neighbouring towns last night in complete darkness. Only the servo and to a lesser extent the supermarket seemed to be functioning as normal.

I thought Echunga was still out so I hope your laptop has a big battery.
We had no power yesterday at Longwood till 6pm and the lights were out this morning in Aldgate again. I have one son stuck on KI with the ferry unable to sail and they lost power this morning, would have been cold.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
My power supply has been fine just outside Stirling - just a transient glitch that required me to reset the oven and microwave clocks.
What has affected me is that my place had sprung a water leak while I was away on holidays and I came home to an $1100 plus SA Water bill.
The leak is in the 50 metre run between the meter and the house, and the plumber and I were unable to locate a source in the already soggy ground.
Then, I discovered the water meter tap wouldn't stop the flow entirely when I turned it off until I could get SA Water to replace the tap...
Oh and a tree did drop a branch across my driveway but that was less of a problem.

Those new NAB adverts.......... Where it says something along the lines of 'family is more important than money'!
No shit Sherlock but coming from a bank that made in excess of a billion $$ profit last year........ It's a bit ironic.

Money can't buy you happiness....but it can buy you a boat big enough to sail right up next to it.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
The hypocrisy of Channel 9 this morning on Today with their "Sunday Jury". In one segment they were condemning the early release of a prisoner for fear of being radicalized in prison, then probably 2 segments later one of them had the nerve to label Pauline Hanson crazy for her stance on Islam.
Whats more astounding to me is I actually saw Pauline Hanson on TV a couple of days ago saying the radicalization is happening in prisons & was almost laughed at. Now I'm not a fan of hers but I also cant stand hypocrisy.

Lucky I don't go commando or people would've been treated to something looking like a capybara trying to escape a pair of Levis.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
Lindt cafe siege cafe inquest. Apparently the gun man had rights too.
No shit this is what the forward commander said at the inquest. He copped a mouthful from Tori Johnsons mother as she stormed out. Which is pretty understandable consider the total utter shot being said.
**** me, you enter a cafe with a gun I would have thought you may have voided certain rights.
