Yes he is and don't call him Shirley.

I agree with the statement, Shirley has hidden away for far too long and if you watch him you would discover he isn't up to AFL standard.

Well Mummbles what can I say - drivin home last night I nearly drove off the road when I heard the ins and outs.

Out

Reilly injured - no choice
Doughty - form has warranted this for a while now
Campbell - he played for not even half of the game and probably didnt seem to do anything wrong from an out side view - WTF

In

Porplyzia - did play well @ SANFL level last week and we can use him as our small forward
Shirley - dropped for one week ( travelled as an emergency ) WTF
Douglas - this poor kids head must be spinnin badly

I now honestly believe that mummbles doesnt know what he is doin @ this present time - Im thinkin the pressure is gettin to him big time !!!
It is what it is !!!

On Shirley

Agree, I do not see the value in his selection and I would not have him in my plans for 2008.

The key issue is, he is not good enough to be an attacking midfielder, his current role in the side is as a defensive midfielder, I rather reserve this role for players such as Douglas, this enables them to learn their craft in their first 2-3 years

Shirley won't ever give us the mid-field drive that position requires. It's arguably the most important area of the field where having the better players makes the most difference. And yet we are giving up one of those 4 spots to a guy who I can't remember kicking a long goal or driving through the midfield - a la Campbell a couple of times last week. I am sure he has done the jobs he has been asked to do but he'll never win us a game off his own boot. The modern day Trevor Roe (one for the old SANFL fans)?

Power very lucky to be in front at half time

Two of the worst decisions that I have seen all year, both in the first qtr

Firstly, the holding the ball against Mattner, which resulted in a goal to Ebert, secondly the Burton mark that was not paid in the goal square, my apology, there was also the Proplyzia goal that was not allowed

Crows need to take their opportunities, more inside 50's and more scoring shots

Lots of effort, lots of controlling momentum - but not reflecting on the scoreboard ... the story of this frustrating season

Enough good signs tho ... Port not being able to play their normal running game and if S Burgoyne lifts his elbow one more time ....

Go Crows!

I think that the loss of Brogan might hurt Port

Can't see us getting home from here. The late Ebert goal hurt - again we had most of play in that quarter but couldn't convert goals. One fast break and Port score one.

Gill not getting near it tonight - not that conditions suit him.

Could still win, but might not have much gas left in the tank.

I'm still spewing over Burton being robbed and Ebert gifted in the first qtr.
