Romania - Pts 1 GD -1 GF 2 Disciplinary points 3; Uefa coefficient 28,038
Sweden - Pts 1 GD -1 GF 1 Disciplinary points 8; Uefa coefficient 29,028
The top four teams go into the second round based on this ranking.
If it's based on points Slovakia are now top with 4 points but if Portugal and Sweden win then they will jump Northern Ireland on points but the Portugal position depends on what happens with Iceland. i haven't read it properly but I'm assuming all those other categories are for tie-breakers?
Northern Ireland are through
Oh the lowest they can finish is fourth, my math is good
Yep Albania and Turkey are the two in danger. Austria, Ireland and Sweden need a win to get in whilst a draw would most likely see Portugal through

Why did they need to change it anyway, what was wrong with he 7 groups they always have.

This year they increased the entrants to 24 so had to come up with a new format and TBH I think the format is terrible and is far from equal for all sides

Totally agree
Still England get Iceland for finishing 2nd in our group Wales could end up playing Portugal for finishing 1st

There are way too many teams in it this year. 24 teams is ridiculous given that that's almost half of Europe. Might as well have 80 teams at the World Cup.
Switzerland v Poland Croatia v Portugal Wales v Northern Ireland Hungary v Belgium Germany v Slovakia Italy v Spain France v Ireland England v Iceland
Italy's 'reward' for topping their group is a meeting with current champions Spain. Nice one! On the other hand Belgium, group runners-up to Italy, get Hungary
The England/Wales group was well looked after considering the opponents they drew.

It was excellent but also off side The second the Swiss number 7 moved his head out of the way of the ball he was interfering with play and therefore offside. Unfortunately the officials are given too much discretion on the rule, probably necessitated by the stupidity of it, that they often don't fully appreciate the 'interfering with play' breech.
Still Poland went through so I suppose it's all academic
