Is it really their gun laws or is it the culture and lack of health (mental) care

I mean you can get rid of the guns but there will still be a thriving black market for these crazed lunatics (it may mske it harder but I'm not sure someone with the mentality of killing 50 people is going to be bothered about gun laws)

It's not like we have zero shootings here either we just don't have the nut cases doing mass murders

I think it's fair to simplified to just say legally take away the guns....imho that won't stop anything

From the reports I've read, Im not sure the Gun culture of the US is to blame for this latest incident. Not defending them, still think they need to tidy up their gun laws. Hopefully they can, but the NRA are pretty damn powerful.

From reports he was able to buy 6 guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in the past week alone. Recipe for disaster

If he was that determined to do what he was going to do he would have got it just as easy on a black market

In theory with it being legal they should have been red flagged that someone had bought such large amounts and potentially investigated before anything happened

Even in Adelaide weapons and ammo can be bought extremely easy

He apparently did it easily because he worked as a security guard. Had been questioned on a couple occasions about his extremist beliefs, would have thought of he bought one gun his name would have been red flagged

And he was placed on the FBI watch list 3 days prior to buying them. Gee the watch list must be effective! :roll:

Exactly that's where the problem lies, there seems to be no communication between authority agencies and companies such as Walmart selling weapons

With their system they should know exactly whose got what and be able to identify 'at risk' people

Crazy you can even buy guns at places like Walmart. Imagine walking into K-Mart and one of those pimpley kids selling anyone a gun
