Re: Round 11 chit chat
this weeks selections
im sitting 1 behind the leader in the footy tips
North, you would think they would get the job done over a Tigers team who are striving for 9th....and the Roos will be looking for a win here to continue to consolidate a top 4 spot. Night game in Tassie, couldn't expect a high scoring match, so the roos to win by 23
Hawks, they will win over an improving Melbourne, whose poor goal kicking last week really put pressure on themselves and it then went downhill. Hawks by 41
Carlton - you would expect them to win under the roof, this is their 4th match in succession here.....does that take something out of them??? Brisbane, can be competitive for about 2.5 qtrs. Blues by 27.
Cats v GWS - not really sure what to make of this, GWS have clearly been playing better than the Cats in recent weeks. The Cats have been leaving the job to too few, and when that happens again in the twilight zone the Giants will win, Stevie J will boot 3.3 and the margin will be 16
Sydney..........................by plenty
Freo v Bombers - have no idea, well care factor is basically zero. Draw.
Pies v Power - both teams are struggling in 2nd gear here, Travis Cloke back in, not sure that is a huge plus, unless they play him at CHF away from the goals. not sure at this stage, but would probably say Port by 9...
Dogs V Eagles - the Dogs will win here, just, as the Eagles seem to lose any ability once they hit the Perth Airport. The Dogs are suffering some key losses which will bring the margin to around 8pts
Crows - will defeat a St Kilda by a comfortable 55pts in the twilight zone, in another uninspiring match

Re: Round 11 chit chat
NORTH Melbourne coach Brad Scott won't coach against Richmond in Hobart on Friday night.
The Kangaroos mentor was hospitalised on Thursday night with a viral illness and did not travel to Tasmania.
AFL.com.au understands Scott has been released from hospital and is now resting at home.
Assistant coach Darren Crocker will coach the side.
“Brad was not feeling well on his way to the airport yesterday and was forced to return home,” North Melbourne football director Geoff Walsh said in a statement.
“His condition worsened in the evening and he was attended to by the club doctor before being admitted to hospital for treatment and observation.”
The club said Scott, 40, stayed in hospital overnight and was not able to travel to Hobart on Friday morning.
Crocker stood in for Scott last season, after the coach underwent surgery to address a chronic back problem.
This will be the third time Crocker, 49, has acted as the Kangaroos' caretaker coach.
He first filled in back in 2009 after Dean Laidley was sacked.
Crocker has coached the Kangaroos to five wins, seven losses and one draw in his 13 games in charge.
Friday night's game is a marquee occasion for the club and its relationship with Tasmania.
President James Brayshaw and AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan are in Hobart for an announcement with Tasmanian premier Will Hodgman on Friday afternoon ahead of the game.
It's the first time Blundstone Arena has hosted a Friday night game.
The Kangaroos face a Tigers outfit coming off three straight wins, while looking to bounce back from their own first loss of the season last week.

Re: Round 11 chit chat
The Cats have been truly shitful in the last two games but I believe we will hit back and beat the Giants this weekend. I believe we can trap them a bit on our home ground and that the Cats will get to attack their preferred side of the ground while the Giants will be denied the same right of passage up the ground. While Stevie J will be able to explain what we are trying to do it will be another trying to stop it.
The Cats best football is good enough to beat anyone and so far this season our best football has been against the better sides. Before anyone mentions the earlier match between these two sides at that time the Giants had just come off a loss to Melbourne and weren't the side they have grown to become over the past two months.
Selection news couldn't be better for both clubs with girl scout Murdoch set to get knocked over by Dandelion spores in the Magoos and Shitful Smedts is also out. Gregson was pretty soft last week as well and all three won't be there. The incomings of Menzel, McCarthy and Ruggles look to give us a bit more mongrel down back and a lot more scoring power which has been a problem for Geelong in the past two weeks.
The Cats will lift at home and get back on the winners list this weekend.
regards,
REB

I really really wanna tip west coast. They will eventually win an away game. Doggies are depleted with injuries? West coast should be a top 4 side but not so lately, a few little tweaks they should click back to stardom
They won their last away game to port

I think West Coast are specials this week.
Also reckon Brisbane will give Carlton a fright.

I too ( as my preview suggests ) think the Eagles are (almost) a good thing.

Freo by 4-5 goals.
They are still a good enough side to beat a VFL side. We will have a crack for a half but will come up short
