I was surprised at the interest in the NT for this. People would decorate their house in the colours of NSW or Qld.....mostly Qld

The pubs & clubs would put on huge shows to watch it.

To make matters worse Avis have given me a NSW plated car to drive around in. People are pulling up next to me at the lights and yelling...."Queenslander" at me, and flipping me the bird.

They get pretty fired up about it in the banana state. Unlike their AFL teams.

Just passing through the Brisbane airport now. Fair to say there is plenty of Maron about. Or should that be Moron? No matter. Pleased they are headed to Sydney, while I'm going to Melbourne.

Qld 6, Nsw 4. I've seen sh!t loads of high tackles, not one paid yet!

Just half time, 6-4 Queensland's way. Pretty dower first half, Queensland had all the momentum and field pisition in the first 20 minutes and should of scored early, they were only able to score from a penalty goal. There was some very good defence from NSW and on the back of that they were able to gain the ascendancy and score the first try of the game. NSW then had the majority of field position and possession until Queensland started to throw the ball wider in attack and were able to score a late first half try.

Cheers DK... Most of that is lost on me. I can't see the skill side of it. Sure there is some, just not as obvious to me.

The refs are doing a good job tonight in comparison that's how bad they have been this season in the NRL

Very dower game. The few times that the spine of QLD threw the ball around they looked very dangerous.

NSW threw everything at QLD in the second half, had the vast majority of possession and field position but the Maroons were very tough and relentless in defence so deserved to hold on for victory.
