My interest of the AFL was at its highest around the time Kouta was at his peak, and there was almost a kind of aura around him, such was his versatility and athleticism, along with his footy skills. Who could forget the 'loaf of bread' style of handling the ball he had? Well done on a great career.

I will never forget his game against the Bombers in the 99 prelim - He got Carlton over the line and in to the Grand Final in that game against all the odds.

Well done, most of us could see it coming sooner rather than later. The next big named retirements will probably be Buckley, Ricciuto and Hird.

Great player. Played some brilliant football at times.

Sad to see his rapid delcine the last few years, but it happens to most.

I never understood why chicks at my school back in the mid-late 90s found him so attractive :-k
