What sort of injury involves removing a calf muscle, if that's not probing too deeply into the matter?

I watched Stoyanoff play at Kadina when i was down. Looked like a pretty handy player. Can roost a footy from 50m.
Seems to be in the best most weeks. Has bagged 15 from 8 games. Not a bad effort from a bloke that isn't key position.
