Wake up call coming for GWS this weekend over here in Perth.

That big win over Hawthorn was a loss the Hawks had to have to re-ignite their hunger and was more a reflection of their lack of commitment than the Giant's superiority.

Agreed. 4 games that could go either way I reckon.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Thinking about picking the Saints this week.... hmmm

If Sidebottom and Pendlebury don't play then I will also think about picking the Blues.

Same here with Adams also out if those guys are late withdrawals then I reckon the blues will get up.

Don't think I have ever seen the Hawks drop so many marks like I have tonight

All we have to do is just get somewhere remotely close to breaking even in contested possession and clearances and from there our forward line will take us to the fourpeat. Its still the best in the comp and by a fair margin once Roughy comes back in. Roughy will also help the clearance numbers a fair bit too, I think this is overlooked, we miss him at centre bounces as much as up forward

Agreed but he doesnt have to be hard, unfortunately him along with Smith are our barometers, if you shut them down you go along way towards beating us

Port also lost to Geelong who beat the Suns by 20 goals, and are a side expected to shape the 8 if not make it - they still sit higher than Port currently.

Port also got pumped by the Crows who are traveling remarkably well.

Question is, for all the heat that Port are copping, and given the 'outs' they have - are they really travelling as poorly as results show, or has running into some red hot sides contributed significantly also?

They've hardly copped sides in red hot form.
They were belted by adel coming off a loss.
They were belted by gws coming off a loss.
They were belted by Geel who were pushed by Ess all day.
All they've beaten is rich, st k and Ess - and they really only played one decent qtr against Ess.
Going off that, I'd say it's more likely they're playing teams into red hot form.

True but watching him softcock in the forward 50 only to see Cyrul make an effort and force a turnover 5 seconds later still pissed me off.
