We started winning towards the end of November. Jeggo left in the middle of January didn't he? He was still there for at least 7 games after the turnaround. Very harsh on Babajl was injured in pre-season and then cops a serious knee injury.

Yes we won a few games whilst Jeggo was here but thought we really stepped up once Mauk came in. Mauk just clicked instantly with the team and was a real catalyst for our finals push.
Babalj isn't good enough, if fit and not injured I still wouldn't have him in by starting XI

I too think Jeggo was ordinary.
The player who seems to be forgotten is Jordan Elsey. Pretty sure he never started again after being suspended for too many yellows in the second half of the season. This kid can play. United re-signed him up mid year when interest was being shown by at least 3-4 other A League clubs & overseas clubs also.
His passing is excellent, he gets to the right spot time & time again and he's not worried about going in hard - which makes opposition players think twice. It's a true reflection on how balanced United were, that Elsey only got limited minutes when he came back.

Plus La Rocca and McGowan are upgrades and better players.

Just Imagine if Gombau was still in charge when we scored that 3rd goal on Sunday, he would have been in the Red Army also

I hope the Eredivisie is on the new Foxtel package.
Get to watch Goody run around with a team wearing Sunderland colours.

5AA mentioned that Bruce Kamal is set to sign with Melbourne City on a 3 year deal.

I have also heard Pablo Sanchez and Stefan Mauk could be on the way out too.

Have heard it is a possibility to be on Foxtel.
Will be good to see how Sparta go with the big boys, been in div 2 for a while now.
The funny thing he will be playing infront of crowds smaller than here most weeks

I get why blokes would want to have a crack overseas, but why would Kamau want to leave here to play in Melbourne?

$$$$$$$$$
I believe they are offering him close to double what he is getting here. Plus with them being owned by Manchester City they can farm him around and increases his chances of getting a big shot overseas.
Looks like my prediction of 4-5 squad changes is going to be close, with Marrone to miss the start of the season the club will have to recruit well[emoji20]

we have no choice but to recruit, especially with the ACL next season. Hopefully being Champions will have some buying power

It better not be on a free

The players quoted are all off contract except for Mauk, pretty sure he's got two seasons to go after this one so you'd think we'd get a decent fee for him.

That's right, and I'm pretty sure they're not going to match City's offer, which is disappointing and bizarre. There must be room, unless City are offering something absolutely ginormous.

Combination of both.
City offering nearly double what he can get here plus the attraction of the best medical team, scouts etc and AU being pretty frugal with money. Unfortunately our owners can't keep tipping in big amounts to match other clubs. We are paying nowhere near the cap. We need to convert some of these bandwagon supporters into season ticket holders if we want to compete financially
