Re: Round 2 - discussion
The new interchange cap looks to have claimed another victim. Even if they win from here Freo are shot and their game plan doesn't hold up with the new interchange rule.
I wonder its effects on Port, Richmond and Collingwood too.
I'm loving footy so far this year as I've said before. Even if the skills are shit the contests are much better. Reminds me of footy in the mid 90's.
I'll go further, yes teams are making these skill errors ect in the first quarters but the players are still used to being rotated from early on so it's effecting their rotations during the first quarters and blokes are blowing plenty of oxygen still. We all know it's harder to hit targets when your lungs are in overdrive no matter the stage of the match.

Well my tips are buggered but gee wizz my doggies arent!
Another clinic although our kicking for goal needs some work! I didnt get to watch it but kept watching the scoreboard tick over. Plenty of positives from whitten oval.
So far after two rounds of football we've had 10 goals kicked against us... defence is holding up well.
2-0 and looking forward to a depleted and dejected Hawthorn at Etihad next sunday! I hope the Eagles bash them around tomorrow...

Definitely getting them at the right time. But they are always tough.

Does Hinkley come under real pressure if the season heads down the same path as last year?
To me, huge chance of Ross Lyon to jump ship at seasons end and either combine with who ever sucks the most between Richmond,Collingwood or Port. He wont tough it out at the Dockers.

Re: Round 2 - discussion
Lot of heart in that win by Essendon. I have no love for them but I can acknowledge an effort when I see one and that was all heart to get up yesterday. Very well done.
The other team I am impressed with is Adelaide. I thought they were good last week at Etihad in a tight loss and very good yesterday. Richmond away next week will be interesting.

Not very funny or clever, are you?
Would have been better asking if Polec, Impey, Ah Chee, Westhoff, Broadbent or Jonas played today.
We can't all take the best forwards because of extra salary cap money you know.

All players except Robbie Gray and possibly Hombsch failed miserably. Showdown 41 will be a very different outcome.

Yeah. The delivery to him has been so good too, he's only had to beat 2-3 opponents every time it goes near him. Good observation
What's your excuse for the great white hope, the difference, the game breaker Jared Polec?
Excuse? He was ordinary today and also last week. He has returned to play after an injury that nearly finished his career - I think he deserves a little lattitude. How good was Van burnthe Ballo after missing a year?
Van Berlo never had the ridiculous hype & expectation surrounding his return. Polec was nursed through pre-season, rested from the hard Etihad surface & we were told he was 100% fit (otherwise he wouldn't be played). This is the AFL - not sure how much "latitude" is warranted.
At the end of the day, yes, he wasn't the only one that played badly last week & yesterday. But there is a distinct pattern with this bloke (and a lot of other teams have them also) - he is an out & out front runner. When Port are flying like in 2014, he racked up good no's most weeks, on the end of other's hard work. Whenever they struggle, he's nowhere to be seen. If Port fans are honest with themselves they'd know when the going gets tough, Boak, Gray, Wingard are still busting their guts to turn the tide. Polec is nowhere to be seen.
I've said it all along and he's yet to prove me wrong, front runner.

Watch the game did you? Do you say possibly because he went at 100% efficiency and didnt do any thing wrong and his opponent didnt touch it??
I think this was mainly due to the fact he wasnt fn playing

I've heard the same stuff coming out of Port Adelaide for the last 12 months. "If we're **/** after round ** we'll be really a big chance. Reckon they just need to start winning now.

^^ This a thousand times over
Did Dixon ever lead for the ball or just expect it to be lace out? Look like a fool when your 12 goals down and he wants to just argue and act like a fool
Is only round 2
