The Cats Keep on Winning

Keeping the lid on but when will the Cats lose a game and don't say the Grand Final. They don't seem to have a weakness they just seemed to kill The Dockers over there in the West. Winning by 68 points and just showing the competition how it is done.

The Cousins cavalry has arrived. West Coast has creamier cream.

Yes, that's my tip too

West Coast is the only competition for Geelong at the moment, I can't see anyone beating them, hopefully they go all the way, they deserve it

Geez you blokes have short memories....theres a team sitting 2nd at the moment, who beat the Cats at their home ground and have won 11 of the last 13...what more do they have to do?

the kangaroos have suprised alot this season and to their credit they are sitting pretty in second and look in good nick, i don't think they mind playing second best to Geelong in the media and not getting alot of credit for what they have achieved, for a team that was very disapointing last year, great effort

Well done Stokesy on kicking 5 goals. Good to see an underated SANFL player playing well in the #1 side. In saying that, look out for West Coast. I cannot see anyone winning the flag other than west Coast or Geelong. It is going to be a ding dong battle to see who makes the 8 and ultimately wins the flag. I think Port will certainly make top 4 but may go out in straight sets and the Although I don't barrack for them, I would love to see Geelong win the flag. I hope West Coast don't make the GF. And the crows will struggle to make the 8. I agree with u Hearts on fire. North Melbourne have done a great job and would also love them to make another GF.

To be more specific about my Kangaroos comments ...

Their last 6 games include Hawks, Cats, Eagles and Bulldogs. If they are good enough to stay 2nd after all that then they'll have home finals, double chance and great opportunity to make it.

On my finals planner I still have Collingwood making the top 4 because of their great run home and the Kangaroos finishing equal 5th

But we'll see!

Edit: and they play Brisbane away

Le Cras has too much hair to be a Kemp double. Yep, Geelong v West Coast the best grannie bet but Dutchy has a legitmate gripe about how people haven't been rating the Roos. He's been dining out on what was our worst performance of the season for weeks now but in since that time the Roos have been belted twice and face another tricky match today. If they can beat the Cats again it will be the Roos who will make me shudder not West Coast.

Everyone is expecting West Coast to roll over everyone now and judging on Friday's evidence that's probably fair enough as they have the runs on the board but one thing everyone is assuming is that the Cats have peaked too early. I don't think the Cats have actually peaked YET. In the last few weeks, we've had a lot of very poor quarters but have still been putting teams away by 8 goals due to a burst of good football. Perhaps our best four quarter performance of the last six weeks was against Collingwood. A fitter Adelaide also kept us in check.

West Coast are not a team that 'keeps you in check'. They have a mobile ruckman and the best midfield in the business that feeds a dead set ordinary forward line. Sydney have kept them in check with varying degrees of success but Geelong will take them on. Lynch, Le Cras, Hansen and Staker will struggle to kick a winning score against Egan, Milburn, Scarlett, Hunt, Wojincski and Harley.

I'd rather play the Coast on Grand Final day (that's if we make it) than the Roos as we have some ghosts that need to be laid to rest.

regards,

If it comes to it I may support Geelong over the Illeagles in the GF - encouraged by the fact that my wife's country based family has Geelong Grammar connections and therefore she will. I must admit I can't see my Crows getting there.

why is everyone aboard the Eagles all of a sudden? they have lost 4 out of their last 7, sure might be getting some momentum but I would clearly favour Geelong in any meeting between the sides no metter where its played.

Look Im expecting the Roos to drop off, but some credit should be given...has ever a short priced favourite for the Wooden Spoon performed so well?

If Sydney/WCE were 2nd bottom Im sure that would make the news

Now that Benny is back and they are all on high octane fuel again everyone expects them to resume the form of the last several years. Only 1/2 time drug testing can stop the Illeagles now - and the AFL won't do that!

I like what the Roos have done for playing a more direct style of game and wish them luck!

The Cats have had talent for several seasons but until this year have played a rather indirect game and underperformed as a result.

Everyone is on board the Eagles because they have been there and done that before. They have three of the best five midfielders in the competition in Cousins, Judd and Kerr who are showing ominous signs. They have an underrated CHF in Hansen and a solid big full-forward in Lynch. They have a quality full back in Glass. They're a bloody good team!

Geelong and West Coast are a class above all other teams. The Kangaroos are probably the best of the rest. You never know what could happen on the day though, so if I was a Kangaroos fan I'd be pretty excited my team could win the premiership.

Kangaroos are still being under-rated. $2.15 today (was $2.20) against Hawthorn is very good value I would have thought. I would have them favourites. I think the Hawks have peaked already.

As a punter and a Roos fan I dont back the Roos very often, however today I am, taking the +7.5 start though, Hawks I believe are starting to struggle...

Geelong still have lengths on the opposition at this stage, Sydney are the ones slowly sneaking up the ladder with great %%
