Yep that'll do!

On a side note, is it just me, or do teams not enforce the follow on these days? When was the last time an Australian side sent a team back in?

Australia made it a non-event after the VVS Laxman innings.

Plenty of bad press after day 1
Heres one of them
* The only positive coming from the opening day of the series was the fact they had their shirts tucked in*

AU 3/480
Voges 205
Shaun the difference Marsh 150

If Khawaja returns S Marsh might not make the next test team

Who would you have? S.Marsh or U.Kawaja?

Would you pick S.Marsh based on this last test against a pretty weak West Indies?

Or do you pick U.Kawaja based on how he performed against a pretty good New Zealand?

Lunch.

Voges and Marsh put on 449. Second highest ever Australian Test match partnership, 451 by Bradman and Ponsford in 1934 remains. I feel that's a good thing.

4/583

Voges 269*
SMarsh 182
MMarsh 1*

Both. Get rid of M. Marsh and have 6 batsmen at last.

No Graham No. We need 4 very similar right arm medium fast bowlers

Agreed, we don't make teams follow on, we rotate in back to back tests. 4 frontline bowlers and a couple of part timers should get the job done if they are good enough.

On yesterday's crowd and today's non crowd, does Tasmania deserve a test match?

There are way too many negative Nigel's on this thread regarding this series, test match and the Windies.

For the first 20 years of my life starting with the 75 World Cup they were the dominant force of World Cricket and they broke my heart over and over again. Yes a competitive series against the Saffers or Pakis would be better but it is what it is, I'm enjoying flogging these guys. To stay inspired I look at Ambroses D@ckhead haircut or remind myself of all the kids and others who over the years claimed they barracked for the West Indies, where have they gone.

I'm enjoying it for what it is and remember when the shoe was on the other foot.

For The rest of this test I will be posting as if we are playing the Windies of 85 and it is a close contest, I might even turn on my own like most of SAFooty does ;) cracking under the strain of spectating and ending careers with a stroke of the keyboard.

My posting regarding this epic contest and the struggle between leather and willow starts now....

Australia desperately need to get rid of Chucky Chandrika. He is looking good and on his way to a magnificent century.

We really need another wicket or two before tea. Windies looking good to chase down our total with their extravagant calypso style :)

I think they do deserve one but reckon they will lose it next year.
Canberra is throwing a heap of money at CA to get a test and I think they will end up with one

Eh? Even at their best, we were at least competitive.

I just think it's sad how much they have dropped off, I'm more for an even tense contest rather than watching chumps like Shaun Marsh score centuries with ease and buy himself another series or two and have Rod Marsh sit back with his arms folded nodding and saying "I told you so".

BTW, please don't diss Curtly ;)
