There's an old saying around these parts...handshake agreements aren't worth the paper they're written on
Absolutely agree, but when you have had a rough time with injury and you have been highly recommended and you offer based on the talk and the promise of ability, would have thought some sort of morals would be involved. Bad luck to Bridgies for not getting pen to paper but when you are told its all good and you will be back to sign and then AGREE to terms. That's where the issue lies i would have thought. I must be getting old or its the generational thing but for me, when you shake hands, you shake hands to sign off. Nothing against Havens either (before anyone jumps on the wagon here) they were able to get the job done. They will be strong next year no doubt.

True that!....If anyone has been involved in the countless hours of recruitment in the last 4-5 years they will all tell you...this situation happens a lot. Part of the process unfortunately!

There were no terms involved in murnanes chat with Bridgewater just got the record, he said he was keen to play A grade footy again, no money or terms were discussed so go easy on the big fella, Mark Rowe Hates kilburn more than I do and has been at North haven 3 nights a week since the season finished, not going anywhere

I heard Rowe was speaking to a senior Kilburn player on Thursday night. How can you hate Kilburn mate, North Haven have only managed to climb high enough up the diva to play them one season in living memory.

I was at the club doing running and gym work this arvo and ironically, much to my surprise in strolls Murnane, he'd been doing some running in preparation for the start of preseason. He actually looks pretty keen and for as long as I've known him, this is a new Champagne lol. I asked him again what's happening and he never made any agreements with Bridgewater just had a chat with them and expressed an interest in playing with them.
We were talking about him during cricket on Saturday and as Cohen said he does like to promise the world to people with his sport but does tend to go missing. We'll see how he goes this time.

To the best of my knowledge this is the first time a Bus has gone from Para Hills to Glenunga
Have heard from a pretty reliable source that its the departure of the former coach that led to his eagerness to return to the fold, looking forward to working with a decent coach from all reports
fair enough, look out for Glenunga next year, chad bourke, sean buss back, the club back in div 5,the great brian leys as coach, new clubrooms, that elusive premiership looks pretty good at the moment.

I heard there's a few more players considering either retirement or greener pastures due to the departure of the former coach also

After watching the div 5 gf they will need a lot more than a new coach and 2 players to match both of those sides.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
