Sounds like dogs have signed a couple of handy assistant coaches and a ruckman.

Maybe they aren't as inviting anymore. ? Might need some new blood to reinvigorate the place.

There is still plenty of time for recruits to be announced. The Dogs finished 3rd last year, so not sure they need reinvigorating...

Let's wait and see, though...

I dont and dont profess too. Pretty obvious though. Smart if you ask me providing they can coach. Not sure they have the temperament though. Remember the question you just asked Phil. If you KNOW something just say.

Then why would someone like Brenton Phillips utilise their services?

Plenty of people didn't think Clarko had the temperament either.

He hasn't got a stable temperment - hard to control when you have little man's syndrome HOWEVER he has proven himself as a great coach and could write some records before he finishes.
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Clarko is still bit of a physco but he has won 4 flags as a coach.

whilst the Gowans were hot heads at times, also remember they were rather successful players without say having alot of pace or athletic ability. What they did have is good football brains. So based on that they could be quiet successful in coaching.

Rick Davies was one of the most naturally gifted players ever, as all result, just like the Gowans, he didn't have to train so hard either.
It's often those players who really had to put in the hardest yards to earn their place that become the best coaches.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

They were the runners . Gee sure they weren't the waterboys as well ? lol Good luck to them and who knows they might be good coaches. Never said they wouldn't but the game has changed a bit since their days. Sniping is nearly out too so they wouldn't want to encourage that. Although, most coaches often realise their weaknesses.
Lets hope for Centrals sake one does a good job next year if they take over.

Don't worry both Gowans as a duo or as individuals would be great coaches at any level IMO and hence why more than 1 SANFL Club has sought them out re Senior coaching.

Well we don't know yet I suppose. Who were the clubs as they must not have thought so.
