Is this just their opinion or have they spoken to someone?
I'd rather see us lose him for nothing in the PSD than take the compo!

He would go into the ND, and most likely end up at Essendon, Saints or Melbourne

Think that was his reasoning on why Adelaide should just take the compo.
Because Connors has called the other clubs before Geelong and told them Danger wont go there if they select him. Id love the Crows to call his bluff and see if he sits out for 2 years

Conners is just doing what he does best. You said it yourself he is a snake and that was good description.

I'd love to see the Crows match the offer & keep him on the list for 4 more years. Then he can walk for nothing but would be on the downward slope of his footy life anyway.
it pisses me off when conners et al say that the crows should just let him walk - thats the whole ******* point of restricted free agency, that we still have some right to attempt to recontract him

It doesnt work that way though. If the Crows match the offer Danger loses his FA status. He then has 3 options. 1- Stay at the Crows 2- Force Geelong into a decent trade 3- Head into the National draft.

Yeah I know, I'm hoping staying at the Crows is more appealing than going into the draft.

He wants to go home. If he goes into the draft there is a huge chance he will land at a Melbourne based club. He would do 2 years there and then get to Geelong via a trade
Can't compare those situations. In Tippetts instance, either Gold Coast or Sydney would have gotten us a decent trade (had we not done the wrong thing with the side deal etc and lost him for nothing in the end). In Dangers deal, we are looking at the best trade we can get and if that means matching the offer and forcing their hand to go into the draft, that is completely different to Tippett.

Agreed. Can't compare the two at all. Unless, of course, we find out that Dangerfield has a secret clause in his contract too.
