******* embarrassing, I hope the Hawks smash them next week

Ha give me a spell, the umpire weren't the reason North lost the game.

And you hope they get smashed because they got the rub if the green tonight?

Haha.

Shouldn't be happy they made a grand final after a tough win?

Just thought the hugging and jumping over each other was a bit much for a game that was won 10 minutes out. The celebrations were worthy of a nail biting kick in it type of win. Just my observation

Well done to the Eagles fans in trying to wrestle back the mantle of the most ignorant fans in the league from their southern brothers.

What are you on about?
Can't even compare the two crowds over the weekend.

Thought I made it clear, PM me and Ill put you onto a Kindergarten teacher that could decipher my post for you. She's pretty good.

Wow. Admin getting into the fighting with other forum users. This has been a weird round of abuse on here, especially from people who's teams weren't playing.

We weren't good enough in the end. WC took their chances, we didn't. Our disposal as a whole was pretty ordinary which made it hard for our forwards, the Eagles' forward entry/hitting leading targets was much better. That our game style was compared to Ross Lyon's is laughable & ignorant. We took the game on whenever possible, used the corridor & attempted to move the ball quickly.
One wonders what might've happened if we'd made our first qtr dominance count on the scoreboard - should've been 6 goals up at the first break, that also came back to bite us.
Simple set shots, missed handballs to players on their own running into open goals & dropped marks within scoring distance all contributed to last night's loss.
Then there was the umpiring.
*THEY DID NOT COST US THE GAME - WE DID.
However, WC will be hoping like hell they get the same 3 next week. It was as one sided as it could get. Every 50/50 went the Eagles' way, every non-call, every benefit of the doubt. The non-existent frees paid in front of goal to Shuey & Darling were embarrassing. The blatant two that were missed down the other end, incredible. Then there was the trip/low contact on Jacobs when he was 20m out from goal. The replay showed the umpire had a clear view, the umpire put his whistle to his mouth (which means he saw something) then he took it away. When umpires do this it can only mean one thing....
These all happened at crucial times of the match & WC benefited from this every time.
I received enough text msg's from neutral supporters during the game about the umpiring to know I wasn't over reacting.

Like I said, we lost it, no one else. It was a disappointing way to end the year.

Waite throwing himself into the ground gets the free, then hits McMillian inside 50 who then misses. Jacobs one was a free. But if you kick points, no one notices. North kicked the ball out on the full 8 times, which doesn't help.

I agree with most of the post.

Not every 50/50 went our way. Kennedy got dragged down in the square twice early in the third that were clear free kicks, wait threw himself into the fence, got a free kick. There was mistakes both ways but i agree we got the rub of the green last night.

Think the Darling one was really hard to tell given the camera angle but agree Jacobs should have got a free kick and Shuey probably shouldn't have (Just Incidental contact)

Come on guys, its a bit of light banter between the two. Generally the mods have that much to do that they do a good job keeping the place on air. I have read so much worse that a dig saying someone should go back to kindy. I mean come on really.
