Yeah, I haven't known of too many champions tanking the last few games before leaving a club, you'd think that there's only one way to play a game of footy.

Like you'd go out and play a GF half-arsed, I was more referring to the manner of how he ended up at Sydney, it reeked, similar to if Paddy goes to anywhere except Geelong.

I think they should announce it now, nobody would question him going to or being at the BnF or the Brownlow as an Adelaide Crow. Technically, he is a Crow until October 31 regardless.

agree, no crow fan would care if he announced it now and then still sat with the crows at these events.

Yep, but I think the AFL are concerned of how it looks if he wins the Brownlow. Cant remember but maybe they did the same with GAJ in 2010? He finished 2nd in the Brownlow and pretty sure he didnt announce until after seasons end? A

I don't reckon he even mentioned a club he was interested in... He went to the best option. Tippett was the one who said he was going home

Not sure I agree with you there B Mac.... going by a few talk back callers, and those crowies on Facebook..... we may witness a whole new booing episode next year when Danger plays against the crows, some can't forgive & forget as easy!

Issue is Crows have let way too many recruits leave the club over the years, despite their membership base and $ they can't seem to make too many interstate recruits stick as much as other clubs do.

Agree - If Dangerfield goes he joins, Gunston, Davis & that blonde bloke who went to the Suns - can't recall his name.....Are there others on this list I have missed????.... Why other clubs can seem to keep them, but one leaves the crows just about every season, or so it seems.... questions??

Bock and Tippett might be worth adding to that.

Throw in Maric leaving because Jacobs arrived and Vince getting squeezed out to gain draft picks lost from Tippett-gate, list management isn't a strong point at the swamp.

Tippett
Bock
Gunston
Davis
Vince
Maric

Without doing the research, I'd think that list would be up there with the best as far as talent leaving a club goes.

And there are a few prior to that (Kane Johnson)

Crows need to be tough here or other clubs will still think they can go hard at Crows players to come home as they are an easy target.

Bock was the bloke I couldn't remember.. Tippett, yeah overlooked him - hahaha. Vince was given his marching orders though wasn't he?

Vince was pushed out. Adelaide lost draft picks from the Tippett scandal, the only way to bring picks is was to trade someone of quality out. Vince it was.

It was for pick #23, which they got Matt Crouch with.

You would have to say as it stands, they would have been better off keeping Vince!

At that point in time Vince has played 1 consistent year of football and was getting tagged out of games. He would have gone the year after via free agency and we would have not received anywhere near pick 23 for compensation.

And no one predicted Vince was going to have such a good first season at the Dees.

Yeah Vince has been amazing this year.

And you guys are right, if you could add Tippett Gunston and Davis back into our team it probably makes us a top 4 side.

Definitely been an issue holding talent in the past few years

Bock and Davis would never have left if the GC and GWS were not introduced. Both went for massive $$$$ and contracts kids at the age could not turn down.
