Kells to collect his 6th.

Clearly you were not at the game if you are saying TTG put in a poor effort. They had a real crack but a couple of Falcons having amazing purple patches in the third allowed us to rattle on a run off goals.

Sorry will re phrase that.
Wasn't at the game - correct.
Finished top and bow out in two games is what I was referring too.

Fair enough, not completely unfathomable when you consider the way the top 4 went neck and neck all year. The only team in the top 4 to beat all of the other 3 was PNU.

Certainly Goodwood will be heavy favourites but PNUs best is certainly good enough to have the Cinderella story completed with an unlikely victory over the perennial league Super power.

Should be a crowd of well over 3,000 next week....there will probably be some Goodwood supporters there too. :)

Don't support either of the teams that played yesterday. The umpiring of this game was a disgrace especially from the blonde haired dude. He was so one sided against TTG that it became a joke. The 25 in the 3rd was awful and came about because of no voice used by this umpire. Cost TTG the game in my opinion, played a hand in the first two goals straight after half time. Gave Jolly his first for the day in the 3rd with a ridiculous push , later in the quarter allowed the same to go in noticed.

Haha this post is hilarious  What a load of crap. The last 3 words make you look like a troglodyte. The 2 handed shove that went into the middle of Jollys back was there 100 times out of 100. Div 1 umpires don't cheat...you know what I'm not even going to bother trying to explain it to you,

Cost TTG the game  =)) :YMAPPLAUSE: seriously that's super funny stuff.

The umps were terrible though. Topped off their day by reversing a free kick for patting a bloke's hair.

Yeah but both ways and every game of footy I watch I hear the same crap about umpires both ways and I am just so over it. I try in any sport I watch or play to ignore the officials. I admit it can be hard at times but you get a lot more enjoyment in the game or even spectating. Top level umpires don't cheat, they might make bad decisions but until you have done it, you really don't know what it's like. The players are not perfect and neither are the umpires.

Most good coaches have other things to concentrate on, but I tell you what if we could just work out a system where the drunken bloke with tinny in hand could share his expert analysis via earpiece I think we will solve all umpiring decisions in question ;)

Fortunately McKay's brilliance inside 50 and Jolly's herculean 3rd term outshone the umpiring ineptitude.

I thought the big fella was really good all day. Does a lot of little things like blocks, checks and self sacrificing things that go un noticed. 5.5 with an OOF and 3 or 4 direct assists is a handy day for any forward.

McKay is a gun, Rudloff was very good and Cockshells first half dominance definitely was a catalyst to his teams half time lead.

I actually though when the Falcs were under fire it was Tyler Brimmacombe who was brilliant down back.

Paul Lowes miss in the last quarter will probably cost him his spot in the GF ;) I asked him for only one and he didn't deliver

His pace away from the pack was freakish. He was the reason for the margin at half time.

My only view of the umpiring was that it was the most pedantic interpretation of holding the ball there has been all year. Similar to how on Friday night the interpretation of the deliberate out of bounds rule was different to how it had been all year.

Admittedly, having watched bloke after bloke come off with injury in the first half, with the margin what it was at half time I had us completely written off. I've never been more wrong. That third quarter was freakish. For at least a 6 goal run Tea Tree Gully literally did not get their hands on the ball.

I will only agree with one part of your post. The 25m penalty was ordinary. The free kick to Jolly was a tad soft, Jolly milked it quite well as any good forward would. But it was the older bloke down PNU's end in the 3rd quarter, not the blonde kid

Had a good laugh with some PNU supporters after the rumour on Triple M Saturday morning about Macca coming back to HV. I had my HV polo on so had a few questions thrown in my direction like "where did HV get $30k from?"

Saw a few go off hurt for PNU, I reckon 2 of those will probably miss. Rowett will be a big in this week though

So, how many of the 7 injured Payneham players will be available for the GF?

TTG became the fifth team to meet straight sets exit and the hands of PNU since 2012. This may be the genesis of my double chance theory @morell. A lot of confirmation bias!

Bulldog - you are a serial umpire basher - always have been.

25 in the third quarter came about because the player had been told to return the ball - pretended to not know who it should go to - then "looped" the ball back to the player - the rule has been "you must return the ball directly (as you would your own team) - call it pedantic - but that IS the ruling!

First two goals after half time - and Jolly's free (I agree it could have been doubtful) - the other umpire was in control of the play at that end.

The game was won and lost in the first 15 minutes of the third term - PNU played attacking footy and TTG did not respond soon enough. TTG were very brave to fight back.

Stop umpire bashing because they don't bother responding to your comments..

PHOS the only A grade team so far to dodge the 2 week curse (i dont include NPFC in this as they played in a reserves divison)..saints will be the second imo..very experienced..know the drill..not much room left for flags in the clubhouse but im sure they will find more ceiling space if required..

It was also very consistent with one they paid against PNU in the second quarter. Almost a mirror image.
