Think he offers more in the ruck, more around the ground, has delivered against the Hawks before and has been in good nick up forward in the reserves. Think the Hawks will clamp down harder on Betts particularly but also Walker, meaning the Crows have virtually no chance if Jenkins doesn't deliver. Like I said I'm sure it won't happen, but food for thought perhaps?
Pods has never really played in the ruck at AFL level, at least for the crows. Maybe can ruck in the forward line a bit, but the days of a "forward line ruck" are over because those stoppages are so important nowadays, so even Jenkins rarely rucks in the forward line.
And again, I think Jenkins has been judged incredibly harshly.
That was his first goalless game for the whole year.
And since round 13, this is his output - 2,2,3,3,2,2,3,1,6,1,0. That is great going for your third best foward.
