Pretty sure Krause a one hit wonder just the one game . Unfortunately hall and a few others still to come back in. I must say mark mueller who apparently did not play against meningie among a few others is a gun made us look silly at times .

Krause full time Roo.
Mueller would be pushing 35. I think you'll find Hall is older.

Oh shit if that's the case that Krause is there all year then the roos definitely a big chance. Still you never can tell on the day Meningie getting stronger every week and we are so much better balanced with a full side. You would also be foolish to discount Mypo. There will be massive trouble out there if they don't win a flag after recruiting as they have .

Agree about Mypo. Billy the messiah will have them firing he's a genuine coach and tool to boot. Shocked that Boughen kicked 5 on weekend thought he was a defender

Re: River Murray Football League talk
Telstra player of the year getting interesting. Eckermann overrated compared to the others in the list. I've seen the blue boys against every team so far and like the look of Kellock and Jed Wilson as mids. One who has surprised me is Corey Knight from Mannum as allthe talk was he would struggle coming from the RMFL's ugly cousin in the Mallee. Always knew "Corsa" was skillful but looks like he's been staying away from the Beam cans.
Smith, Honner Hall x2 and Kenny all missing from that game on the weekend so what comes out of it. Are they worth 90 odd points? probably not. Mannum apparently had a couple missing two.

If true will he play out the year for them? Big loss and would guarantee them the spoon...
Overachieved as a coach in his first year by getting them to finals and last year or so just hasnt had the quality to compete at top end

I heard that he has just advised the club that he won't be coaching next year but will continue to play for Jervois moving forward.

Re: River Murray Football League talk
Jervois came home hard from 5 goals down in last quarter yesterday and appeared to win the game with a monster 55m drop punt after siren seemingly clearing a huge pack of players...blokes were celebrating until imps goal umpire said ball hit post! Boy was there some remonstrating with umpire after that...
Looked as though jervois blokes were just ripping the imps goal umpire to bully him into giving it however word on the street is even a couple of imps players on the line conceded afterwards it was clearly a goal...however werent too fazed after jervois blew the siren early last year!
Karma maybe or just an honest mistake im not sure but a shame controversy ruined it for the poor bloke who seemingly slotted it under huge pressure!
Lucky this game didnt really mean anything as far as the ladder is concerned...and one can only hope its neutral time keepers and goal umpires for finals is all I can say.
Anyone else there hear a different story?

Wouldn't you think that if the imps boys are saying it was clearly a goal, which is also the story I've heard. That they would tell the Umps in the middle. So Jervois take the points? Or do these things not happen?? Heard that Imps boys didn't sing the song also.

Can a field umpire overrule a club goal umpire if he is certain?? how many times on the goal line does the defender claim touched when they know they didnt-umpire makes a call and people generally accept and move on which happened in the end!
Club officials/volunteers in important positions such as goal umpires or timekeepers can make mistakes and can influence the result of a game and this can be harder to accept and lead to accusations of cheating from your opposition more so than a neutral umpire making a critical mistake.
Was told players from both teams still enjoyed a beer after the game so doubt there will be any follow up appeal like there was last time controversy struck!

Re: River Murray Football League talk
I have heard that the free leading to the shot on goal was actually paid for an incident after the siren so there should not have been a kick given. Also that the field umpire put the man on the mark at 45m out even tho the free was paid inside the centre square. I did also laugh at the irony that despite their goal umpire winning them the game, he still continued to whinge about the umps and the free kick tally.

Anyone know who the player making headlines in the standard is? If this player has been playing whilst banned will the ban be extended?
